Already got a system in place for equipment taking damage… that could be adapted for specific attacks doing damage to specific equipment. You’d just have to repair your surge protector every nth time you get hit with a power surge, or equivalent for the other special attacks.

Maybe leave a couple of them as being countered by a consumable, but the ones that completely disable you for ages would be nice to have a more lasting counter for. It can be expensive if the flezz sink needs to be preserved, but this would at least make it less annoying.

I think you’re talking about Power Spikes, mterek. And my way to combat them is to buy low level pills to act as a diversion, “meatshielding” the expensive ones.

As for Lag Spikes, I see them as moderate annoyances (Line Noises are minor annoyances, of course.) Unless in a forum with moderators, which they become major threats, slowing down your pwning, and giving chances for moderators to appear.
