It’s so obvious that the Sisterhood consists of supasexy ****es and not of sweaty fat nerds who are obsessed with maths. Log in to see images! |

Well, Escher certainly is the best roleplayer here, quite impressive. I’m just glad that he isn’t playing an Emo. Log in to see images! |

By the way, Genesis just posted something very close to the answer… so someone solve it quick! |

What exactly are we supposed to do with the information gotten from the barcode? Bit too ambiguous. Casz edited this message on 03/18/2008 2:03AM |

Hmm… there are 69 digits.
I translated one of the final results to wingdings. That didn’t really work. lulz56 edited this message on 03/18/2008 2:01AM |

Whom? The object equivalent of who? I’m pretty sure English teachers gave up on that pronoun five years ago. Still, PA points for proper usage. markchd edited this message on 03/18/2008 4:14AM |

Genesis Posted: Using Genesis’ decoding of the bar code as a staring point, I tried a few things. When converted into binary then to ASCII I came out with the same message as him. I then tried flipping the binary. That failed. Then I tried inverting the binary, replace 1’s with 0’s and 0’s with 1’s. That resulted in nothing as well. I then looked at the ASCII tables to see what type of numbers I was looking for as a result. I noticed that most of them were three digit numbers. I broke the octal number that Genesis came up with into three digit groups: 165 142 155 141 151 040 15. When I looked those numbers up on the text table, adding a leading 0 to the last number I came up with: ubmail (return). I do not have the means or knowhow to double check Genesis’ work on the bar code or binary that was posted earlier, but my best guess is the word hidden was tubmail. This also fits with the badge in the first post with the bar code. Off to the side there in a partial screen shot of an tubmail inbox with many messages received in a very short time period. This is strange because why would a clan take the time to send a message during a raid that require precision timing, if the messages were sent during a raid. The last part is just some wild guessing as to what is going on, but I have no idea how or why that would be. That is all that I have for now. /edit this is my alt character, I might also be posting with my main character, balluga. Noted to avoid confusion. Eiken edited this message on 03/18/2008 3:58PM |

To clarify, the two bar codes translate to the same things? right? If so, the content is ambiguous and not very instructive at all. |

Correct, but Genesis has not done the counting quite right. |

i solved the 4th clue by increasing the contrast on the negative of the image, then looking very closely at what resulted for patterns.

The 4th clue is not part of the main trail per se; it’s simply a distorted view of a later clue. If you figure out what it is, cool. |

keep in mind red go to blues in a negative, and vice versa. |

Tru.dat, but you’re nearly there with the first clue.
And yes, the first clue and it’s “Code 39” duplicate should provide the same plaintext. |

This just in! Casz has solved the barcode clue!
He has received an individual tubmail that probably won’t be very useful. You can beg him to share it with you if you like. In any case, here’s the next public hint regarding the Sisterhood’s method, as promised:
And the next riddle:
(A = 100) (B = 50) (C = ?) (D = 20) (E = 20) (F = 10)
Answers should be provided in the thread. Virtual_Eyes edited this message on 03/19/2008 4:45PM |
