Seriously people, quiet down… I know there’s been a little bit of opposition to this decision, but we have to lay out our strategy somehow, at least for the perceptive.

I’m putting together some puzzles for the other denizens of ForumWarz to figure out, and I wouldn’t want them getting any weird ideas about how we do things. There was no male reproductive organsucking. There was no haxx0rtion. There was an interesting solution to the problem of vanilla scoops, and we’ve kept it under wraps until now.

Let’s reveal it with flair a la haxxlrose.

Dude… that’s exactly the sort of thing they’re talking about. It’s not that hard to Google up a binary translator and copy & paste, but part of the fun was supposed to be actually doing that and solving the clue. You don’t see me revealing the barcode solution, do you?

At least put spoiler tags on it. For the sake of the kids.

That should help with a yet-unsolved piece of the puzzle, but if it doesn’t, try the other version.

I’m not actually sure about barcode software. Do they even make software that reads barcodes? I have no clue… guess someone’s going to be making a covert trip to WalMart late at night.

A retail barcode reader will usually only register something if that particular code is in their inventory system. Otherwise, you can simply convert the stripes into numbers and translate it that way…. which is a pain in the arse.
