Should there be a bumon in forumwarz that will alert the other mods of a mod abusing his/her power on somebody the did not like?

Actually, yes. There are mods who regularly read through even closed reports, to keep a feel for what goes on on the site.

Most of us read the reports regularly, even the ones that are ‘closed’. The few reports of ‘mod abuse’ I’ve seen are looked at by the group, and so far, nothing significant has been reported. Things which would barely register as a violation from a community member are blown out of proportion when a Mod does it.

We’re human too, and we make mistakes. But when we see a report demanding for a Moderator to be stripped of their position and permabanned for a minor infraction, or something that was borderline at best and not specified in the rules anywhere, we have to take it with a grain of salt.

If you have a serious complaint, report it. If you’re just being a ‘funny guy’, don’t expect a prompt reply.
