Nothing uber leet like a lotus, but I had a few dual lands and some rares from 3rd and some expansions, Jester’s Cap and the like. |

I know the basics of how to play the game, but only played a handful of casual games with borrowed decks. MTG has to be the most insanely expensive game I’ve ever run across if you want to play competitively.
If I was going to jump into the game I’d probably go black and blue. Card draw and hand control are never a bad thing. Log in to see images! Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted. Log in to see images! |

I got into it pretty hard about 4 years ago, I still have over 80 decks made and about that many cards sitting around not in decks, but then power creep started getting ridiculous and my friends stopped playing. I even have 7 unhinged decks including a Gotcha based deck where you get to draw whether they guess or not Log in to see images!.
My best colors were White Green, swarm and growth is my play style, which my favorite card is the Coalhauler Swine from Ravnica (The best set IMHO) I built a deck around giving myself pro red and then nuking the coalhauler with either Shivan Meteor or some other crazy powe card to kill off all other players in one solid blow. My friend who got me into it hated Coalhaulers so much because of me Log in to see images! also yes ravnica was the best set and after that it was mostly meh and i never bothered to figure out how bradywalkers work
my favorite deck back in teh days was a flashback/madness deck which consisted of pounding the enemy with a wild mongrel while playing ridiculously underpriced cards from the graveyard (like roar of the wurm) and then for extra lulz i put rancor on them and sacrificed them for the greater good to draw cards equal to their power (8 cards for each wurm) Log in to see images! |

Raepdog was a totally broken card IMHO, everyone started making shapeshifter decks with creature find as soon as he became available for limited.
