Since the Trolling in IDC thread was closed during my response, and I think we were making some progress in the rules discussion, I decided to make another thread.

Cid, I wasn’t trying to say you handled things wrong or anything. I was merely pointing out that this thread has been ****ted on about 10000% more AFTER merc and lee were banned.

But since you brought up the subject of how you weren’t going to ban them again, I think in the future it might be better if instead of opening the thread up to discussion about who banned who and why, maybe instead you just don’t answer anyone that asks about the bans.

It isn’t really a moderator’s job to make sure everyone knows how fair the process is. I’m all for transparency, but since the reasons for bans is linked on people’s profiles and their posts are edited, there isn’t much of a need for discussion.

Also, for the record it’s really ****ing annoying when you close a thread right after you make a ****ty post dude.

I don’t actually think Cid is 100% to blame for **** like that thread, I just think he is the easiest target because he blindly posts back seemingly without reading what people post.

Except when mods DON’T explain, players **** and claim there’s favoritism/random application of rules/X mod is a male reproductive organ. Hell, the whole thread was started because some players started a rumor about how mods were going to restrict IDC.

Basically, it’s a no-win for mods. If they don’t explain, people **** and make up conspiracy theories. If they do, people **** and nitpick.
