The problem isn’t programming features in, it’s underlying rpg rules. *I* don’t agree with more restrictions, but you should campaign against blank line spam, making the text limit shorter, or limiting smileys if you can’t just accept it as part of the culture here and scroll past.

I find something like an empty quote or spam to honestly be less annoying than 50 posts saying “lol” or “great thread.”
