Okay, when you click on the word equip, does it change to the word ‘unequip’ after a second or two?

Also, there is no battle icon to use the Shoes in battle. They simply add bonuses to your stats (over on the left of your main character screen, where it says Ego, Sexiness, Offense, etc.
