I have exactly the same problem. Technically, I’m Captain_Amazing, due to my preferred name being taken a level one re-re who, as far as I can tell, only ever pwned one forum.

But the G could easily fit where the hyphen is. In that sense, it seems a bit redundant.

This seems like a relatively easy thing to fix. My guess is it would involve taking one line in one piece of code, and changing ”>=15” to ”>15”.

I still think it would be reasonable to make it put the linebreak where there is a space, if a username contains a space.

Both:

and

look better than

I think it should give you options when you change your name to preview it and inject newlines where appropriate. Of course, that would only apply if you have a break in your name.
