From what I understand, the eventual .moar trading system is going to be an auction house, so it will be unreliable as a way to transfer wealth. At least, if the powers that be elect to want prevent people from transferring flezz like this it won’t be too hard to track down files that sell for dramatically more than market price and look into it.

In terms of putting less flezz in the game, I don’t think .moars are really worth that much. What are the most expensive ones, a couple of thousand flezz? The “flezz in” quotient of selling files is really minor, all of the problems with the game’s economy are largely that the “flezz out” quotient is way too small. People at the high end don’t spend flezz except on repairs, get max deliveries, and get more from one job than they can get from selling a dozen .moars at ppwn. You’re really trying to put out a forest fire with a bucket here if you think making .moars not sell for anything will help.

Also, sure, selling files you find on the internet is unlikely to make you money IRL, but trolling forums is unlikely to make you money IRL too. The bumumptions the game makes about its fictional internet make “selling random files you found on the internet” comparatively plausible. I mean, is someone really going to send you a bicycle because you insulted some furries?

Essentially, what I’m saying is that .moars are worth so little flezz it hardly matters, and that the flezz auction house is coming whether we like it or not (personally, I like it, but I’m 9 pieces short of darkside).
