Let’s see…

With my country having its election soon, it got me thinking… are politicians really the best people to run a country?

Wouldn’t it be better to have, say, experts in each particular field running that aspect of the country? For example, have a council of doctors in charge of all decisions relating to healthcare and engineers in charge of the country’s infrastructure.

Politicians are good at persuading people to do things, although in practice they don’t use this skill for the public good.
