More or less exact. I currently have 26 lemon scoops.

I couldn’t speed run anyway. The lag for me is so bad that even 1-hit-kill attacks don’t save enough time. Therefore I don’t really care about that.

I must say that I didn’t have too much problems. Episode one was pretty easy and EP two now finally has some challenge to it.

But I’m just at a low level, so what the **** do I know.Log in to see images!

I had forgotten about this thread. Yeah, fix hackers please, We pretty much suck.

I wander back into my hacker every so often trying to be effective with him, but it generally feels like I struggle heavily with him (at level cap) to get less than the same effect as my troll casually does (It was ugh watching my troll catch and pbum my hacker in Pink Floyd collection in a 12 visit day where the hacker had been at it for close to 50 visits).

Does anyone know an effective hacker build? I’m at cap, and frankly aside from improving my mediocre moar files (Which is all that I’ve been doing with it of late) I’m not sure what can be done to get it anywhere near half as effective as my troll. I’d expect to have a challenge against a 34-35 forum, but those look to be completely out of reach (450-500 damage) instead of simply really hard. If it wasn’t also a struggle to put together a decent moar set it’d be one thing, but it feels like climbing a wall to…still be mediocre. Log in to see images!

As a noob, who’s just startet playing, I have to say that new hacker-players should be better introduced into this .moar-files thing. I played until lvl ~4.5 with the spider-program deactivated and I think that was quite a mistake, but the spider-program (espacially its importance) is poorly explained (like the fact, that you have to equip it manually like hardware)...

Effective hacker play comes down to “Having enough Processing Power to pwn forums without consumables while using 4 beast0r cables.” Doing that really requires some decent .moar files (I heartily recommend Riprogrammatori). But the four beast0r cables are not optional. The Hackers that established the benchmark that resulted in the clbum getting nerfed were all using 4 beast0rs.

Other than “Four Beast0rs, enough PP to keep you funded, and good .moar files” you just want to put a lot of points into offense, and enough points in ego. Also, don’t use avtr if it would require you to use any PP consumables. Playing a hacker you just have to realize that your attacks are going to stink unless you get your offense up to at least 170.

EDIT: Oh, and it helps to not compare them to trolls. Trolls are silly overpowered relative to the other clbumes right now. Hackers are at comparable levels to Emos and Camwhores, but Trolls are way out of line.

Yeah, I have that, I was at cap back during their earlier nerfings and was one of those casually pwning back then before it got nerfed hard. PP is pretty much only gettable by moar files, which is what I grind for, but it tedious since hackers are often ineffective on the same forums they need to grind to get the equipment to be effective. And yeah, I don’t use avtr at all. After it’s double nerfing it became totally useless as an ability. Does anyone use it anymore? I’m interested to see what will happen when EvilTrout finishes his hacker run he’s currently doing, but maybe I’m just being hopeful.

And that’d explain it a bit, I’m at a mere 140 offense (double what my troll has lulz). I probably should yank points out and put it into ego, but it feels like there’s no point until I grind more moar files. Which is sadly tiresome since it looks like it’ll be a good 200-500 more visits to get the good moar files completed (Ripromatic is at least a 50-150 visit one, but luckily that can be done alongside pink floyd). I’m fiddling with rectum scan at the moment since at least that goes through the grinding in minutes. Trolls are overpowered, but at least if you’re going to fall on the wrong side of the balance curve, it’s better to be on the side that can accomplish things quickly. Anyhow, enough whinyness from me. Thanks for the advice on ego.

I never have a problem with proc. power (it’s 450 – more than my Ego!), but it really is impossible to speedrun on this. Why do the other clbumes get two strong refresh 1 attacks? I put nothing in Ego to make up for it but the highest forum I think hits me for more Ego than I have total. Log in to see images!

Yeah, I was doing the same (more processing power and stats than ego), but I was coming to think that that was the wrong strategy with hackers since they could no longer actually clear forums without taking tons of hits.

Also, hackers aren’t even funny to make up for it. The only two attacks that even have jokes in them (and at that very feeble jokes) are avtr and ipz. That’s why I think trns is a good idea for a future ability- make your opponents talk in Spanish, or like Elmer Fudd, or in pig latin.

Yeah, I’ve definitely run into this. For whatever reason, high luck seems to make .moar farming worse, not better.
