We’re considering having a publicly available log of everything that’s in IDC.

The idea is you could point people to a previous conversation, maybe something hilarious that happened or something of value.

However, there are potential privacy concerns involved. What if you said something incriminating? It would be up forever to haunt you.

What do you think?

The whole point of the internet is that it’s full of incriminating evidence that will never go away.

I like it, especially if it can be used to hurt someone’s feelings.

Quick note: I understand this is a non-RPG forum, but I feel this comment is appropriate, because I don’t say anything mean, nor do I have any plans to use it to hurt someone’s feelings.

Rather, I wanted to express my joy at the thought of the first inevitable instance in which it will be so used.

Furthermore, I posted this high.

One thing to do in a Chat is to make Fun of someone who isnt there.

With a complete Log of all Chat, I could search for my own Name and

look up what People said behind my back.

Not because they have millions of dollars worth of telecommunications abilities that they can exercise against me, whether I think its reasonable or not?

Seriously though, I think you guys took me too literally, I wasn’t really being serious when I said that. I wasn’t saying, if your innocent, you have nothing to hide; I was saying if you say something incriminating, it would be funnier for you to get caught for it. Not that I wish ill on anyone, this is purely for comedic effect.

Also, is there ANY way to connect to Incit Chat/IDC outside of Forumwarz? Because I’d love to go to either via IRC or something of the like, and that community ad for Forumwarz IRC sucked.

i have said some awfully incriminating things in idc while drunk, this scares me. although if it does happen, i’d just not go on idc anymore. prevention is better than cure and all that.
