ITT I whine about "forum refresh" screwing me over

So I take a job from Herschel to pwn Affluence Anonymous in 28s or less. I’m in the forum, and I click on the last thread, and… the forum stops working. No prob, right? I just click that handy little “forum refresh” link – you know, the one that PROMISES you that you won’t lose any forum visits for clicking it.
Well, IT LIED.
Not only did I lose a forum visit, but it knocked me back to the very beginning of the forum. So when I finished pwning AA, I had lost a visit AND now my hard work at pwning unique forums has been erased because I have AA listed as pwned twice in a row.

You probably finished the forum (thread) but didn’t see the ending page, and when you refreshed the page, it started the forum over as if you clicked the link from the bookmarks page (which is how refreshing works anyway).
If you enter a forum and don’t make a move, you don’t lose a visit (hence the term “You will have x forum visits left AFTER YOUR FIRST MOVE” ). If you noticed you restarted the forum by accident but didn’t make a move yet… slowly back out… and go back to your character page.
Lesson learned.

yeah, you have actually pwned the forum during the lag, so that when you refresh you’re actually using your next visit. When this happens to me I know. So it’s your fault go cut yourself to death |
