So the new Google chrome browser came out today/yesterday. Just d/led it so havent been able to play with it much, but the new home page, and being able to move tabs is pretty interesting. Any one else like it?

So far, lots of harddisk activity and it’s not firing up. I wonder what it’s doing? Log in to see images!
OK, after a 3-4 minute wait it started. Clean interface, pretty fast, doesn’t seem to have quite as good a ‘feel’ as Firefox so far, and there’s no killer app or reason for me to switch. So not sure yet. meeeeeeeeee edited this message on 09/02/2008 7:33PM |

don’t see any reason to change yet, and browsing without adblock feels odd maybe when there are addons or there is more incentive
i like the look though, and it is a bit faster than firefox. |

I noticed this thread while I was writing a review of it myself which outlines some of what I tested and found. Those interested in benchmarks and how Google Chrome stands up to existing browsers might want to take a look at my quick review and test of it. |

It uses Webkit, the same rendering engine as Safari, which pretty much renders it useless, as the only two major browsers right now use Gecko and Trident. |
