[Good Omens]

Level 37 Troll

“Problem Child IV”

It’s difficult to nerf minrepair without gimping low level people who often struggle during levels 6-7 to scrap up enough   to get past the forums they need to beat to pay off the drrty cop. Despite having a DML myself I don’t necessarily agree that trolls should be able to make an enormous profit off of grinding faux news.
Here are some possible solutions

1) Declare a moratorium on grinding faux like Arktor suggests. Easy to implement but a pain in the bum to enforce.

2)Another solution would be limit the number of times that a character can run faux to 1 in a given day. That way they can still make up some ground but they can’t outpace the camwhores and emos by an insane amount.

3)Another solution would be to adjust the credit bonus faux recieves so that it still gives a slight bonus over praypal but that it’s not worth the huge amount it is currently. After all being able to grind praypal with no consumable costs is pretty nice, being able to grind faux for a profit is still pretty ridiculous.

4)The final suggestion is to redo the damaged item system (or possible faux itself) in some way that forces faux to be a more pyrrhic battle. That way people can still defeat it but people are unlikely to grind it for fun and profit.

Level 69 Camwhore

I really do talk ****!

I think the changes are good.

I get the debate on Haxlrose, but just don’t think it outweighs the positive. I don’t really think most players are going to flip back and forth from week to week alternating builds. Those who are grinding are generally doing so for very specific goal based reasons (it’s not like it’s fun) and they will pretty much keep on grinding until those goals are met. On flip side I do know many players who are very unhappy with their builds, feel seriously disadvantaged game wise and prior to this change would have had to grind for a week or more just to afford a respec. I think it opens the game back up to some players who thought there wasn’t much hope for their character.

I won’t bother using it on most of my characters until Ep. 2, since I know I’m very happy with their builds. I will however really enjoy it trying to figure out the Emo clbum.

Streaking fixed = good thing. Yeah, it can be worked around by keeping all flezz in items, but frankly that is horribly inconvenient and as anyone who has streaked knows, there was no downside and it was pretty much required if you wanted to climb the flezz leader board. The suggestion to raise the repair percentage needed is a possibility. Maybe an item needs to be repaired to 10% instead of 1%? I don’t know how this would impact early game though. When new players are going through the base game I’m sure they often repair what they can to whatever level they can afford.

Ban count down is a nice feature.

Down with scripting game based things, I’m a big fan of it.

Sneakily vicious and filled with virtuous pit bulls.

I think it is kind of obvious… I mean, it’s cheating t e system out of tens of thousands of flezz. And why surprise auto-ban? you could always give someone a warning.

Warning users (and then following up on the warnings) would still be an administrative overhead that would require additional coding anyway. Eventually (very soon) not time or cost effective.

It’s like klan-based voting. Even though you can do it with what’s available, it’s still obviously cheating.

That’s a social problem, and more difficult to detect at the point it happens as it’s a great timesulative effect. So running a report on the logs and dealing with it afterwards, is the only solution.
