We’re going to find a way to address the fact that, yes, a lot of people have ignored the rule and many have seemingly been rewarded for it. For now, user-generated items are essentially “quarantined” to the co-op store, but we clearly cannot afford to be too cavalier about this.

Until we come up with a reliable way to enforce the rules we’ve set up, I would suggest that, if you want your submission to have any longevity, your best bet is to stick to the rules.

The items made in Itembuildr are no longer confined to the Co-op store. It was announced in this blog post and implemented on the same day.

Here is a link to the Emo kid based Puncture Junction – as you can see there are several Itenbuildr items included. This is the same for all the clbum stores.

Note it doesn’t say I can’t reveal the information, only that I shouldn’t. So I guess you’d be okay with it if I did, since it’s not against the rules? Or would you prefer I stick with the intent?

And I certainly wouldn’t get banned if I revealed that information, right? Or be stripped of my mod status? Because nowhere is it actually specified that those would be the consequences. So I guess it’d be okay.

Based on what has happened in the past? Honestly, not only wouldn’t I expect a punishment to come down the line for it, I’d be shocked if it happened. I’m pretty sure I said as much in the thread from a couple months ago questioning the ethics of mods alt revealing.

The suggestion that those who are given power be held to no additional standards, is something I will always have a problem with. Yes, when a player does something out of line he should be smacked, that is the simple call. When a mod/admin does something off base it implies that the users are stupid, complacent and uninterested if no one questions it. If I were an admin I would be far more concerned with players not caring enough to question things. As long as people get riled up when something not quite kosher happens it means they are still involved and care about how things are done.

gig getting a 2 month ban for breaking a rule he was clearly unaware of, a rule that is rather silly given the nature of the site and the forums, is something that should be looked at and reconsidered. was protesting the rule, the ban, and the silly number of sticky threads by posting wacky pictures and lines of literature is simply a matter of pointing out flawed rules and the fact that it is possible the rule makers are suffering from testicular torsion.

I’m tired of arguing about things that should be obvious. If people can’t see why there is an occasional need to question how things work when they are working in a poor or unfair manner, there is certainly nothing I can say to change that situation.

The WJWHF forum still only states that no images should be posted, it seems like it wouldn’t be terribly difficult to update that to reflect the actual rule rather than relying on people psychically guessing the spirit of the rule. I wouldn’t want to break any unwritten rules in the future, so for the sake of clarity can someone please let me know if the spirit of the rule is to prevent the posting any sort of spam, to prevent posting off topic, or both in the sticky threads in the Whores forum?

Kaiser guy can fling out day after day of his “I love Kaisers” crap interrupting every god damn active thread. We get walls of blank line spam and then repeated empty quoting of blank line spam from someone who was made into a mod? And walls of browser lagging smiley spam every damn day. Not to mention the ****ty copypasta memes that slop themselves everywhere all the time.

Yeah, seriously, we are in need of a very ****ing specific set of rules and a little less ****y moderator head tripping.

I think that would be a very effective solution. The notice would be right there, if people ignore the “updated on” date and post anyway it is their own fault.

Answer to trolly as hell survey: no, it is ridiculous to make an bumessment like that. Experience helps, but no one player or group of players is or should be more entitled than any other in the open forums. One could just as easily say that since klan vanilla has historically given a ridiculous “click here for medals” advantage that the only players who should be able to comment on things are those who have earned their medals solo. (Posting with my “never had klan vanilla” alt to make sure it’s cool that I post this opinion. Log in to see images!)

As to the current comments – hold up there. There are by far more unklanned players than there are klanned players. Klanned players tend to be more vocal and present on Flamebate, it does not mean they are the majority. If we are simply going to look at pleasing the majority the only thing that needs to be addressed is the Stray Bullet problem.

Honestly, I think this thread is stupidly troll bait based, can’t believe it’s being gotten away with since it has no merit game wise and no business being taken seriously. If you want to **** specifically about the opinion differences between klanned, unklanned, casual and experienced Dom players, why not just do that instead of making a snarky poll that will do nothing except breed ****iness.
