	Wait, what? I have NEGATIVE Defense? I’d recently bought/equipped a few things which should have increased my Offense a few points, but to my dismay, they didn’t. And in fact, when I re-equipped my previous items, my stats LOWERED. So I went and unequipped all of my items. Even the spider. My upgrades are as follows. Egomania Level 10 Offense Level 45 Defense Level 1 Luck O’ The Filthy fine upstanding member of society Level 1 ****ing on Firewalls Level 4 Vandalism Haxx Level 9 Meaning my stats, without equipment, should be: Ego 875 Proc 10 Offense 46 Defense 2 Luck 10 Frigality 1 Charisma 1 Upkeep 1 However, they’re at this: Ego 870 Proc 10 Offense 31 Defense -13 Luck 0 Frugality 1 Charisma 1 Upkeep 1 I have somehow lost 15 Offense and Defense and 10 Luck. Oddly the same stats as a Beast0rs. I can’t have Haxl reset my stats for a few more days, is there something else I could try to fix this? (view post)	11/14/2008

	I keep pwning <spoiler forum> but the quest won't finish... meeeeeeeeee Posted: I’ve seen the hitpoints go as low as 2.4k from 8 visits so far. So it may go lower than that if you’re lucky. Players can of course get critical hits on threads, and with the addition of some of the better .moar files, it might make it possible to single hit the thread. At least that means one challenge for episode 2 left for me Log in to see images! It wouldn’t be particularly hard if you restatted and pumped Offense really high with just enough Ego and consumables to make it through. 	"Drop" system not entirely random? Well, it’s either that, or after a certain luck value your loot (deliveries) from pwning a forum seems to be the same. I pwnd 4 forums yesterday, to get JP. And today I got 4 Venus De Milos, a Pocket Watch, A Seasonal Centerpiece, a Children’s Playhouse Kit, an Empty Gas Pump, and a Human skull. In that same exact order, four times – Meaning 16 Venuses, etc. Though it seems like a forum’s strength and your luck DO make somewhat random loot equivalents, it also seems like the value, once capped, always gives certain loot. I’ve gotten those same exact items for the past few days, with slightly varying Luck values each day. Not that this is particularly important, I just thought it was interesting. 	Hackers: Out of curiosity, what's your upgrade build and why? Like the topic, I’m curious as to how other people upgrade their hackers. Feel free to list stats, upgrades, and equipment if you want. My current buildup Posted: Ego 2045 Proc. Power 275 Offense 128 Defense 72 Luck 58 Frugality 12 Charisma 18 Upkeep 2 Alignment 47% Good Upgrades: Vandalism Haxx Level 9 Offense Level 40 Egomania Level 15 Defense Level 1 Upkeep Level 1 Though it’s probably obvious by the upgrades, I focus almost entirely on offense, with just enough Egomania to keep from dying between uses of IPz and Avtr. With this particular setup I haven’t yet had to use any consumable items, as most forums died before doing more than 700 or so damage to my Ego. I had originally had about 15 less Offense and 15 more Egomania, but I never took nearly that much damage so I had Haxlrose swap them around.
