The new changes to the economy are definitely impacting my low-level alts. Basically I’m having to do more Herschel runs in order to save up the money for needed upgrades.

I’m surprised you are having that much trouble with flezz though. With 4 x Blue Box or 4 x Polka Dot Box on rollovers you can definitely spike your luck stat extremely high. The lack of reliable glbumes is definitely problematic for trolls, permanoobs, and hackers.

I kinda wish that another store would be made that offers the non-camwhore glbumes so that people don’t have to wait for the halfway decent ones to show up in the pwn shop.

As much as I hate to say this because for the past months ForumBuilder has been exceeding my expectations...

For newbie players the reward can be worthwhile at the low levels, at the high level it’s completely pointless. You could institute a sliding scale of payments like (Character level x Flezz reward x forumbuildr score). That way a level 10 player with a forumbuildr score of 2 might get a couple of thousand   while a level 35 with a forumbuildr score of 20 might make a relatively huge amount of money.

It seems okay, if you want to max out cred you do one forum all visits and if you want to max out flezz you cycle through a bunch of different forums everyday.

Realistically anyone in the 28-35 level range isn’t really consuming anything anyway so they just stockpile   everyday. Unless you are trying to get the flezz e-peen then grinding for flezz really isn’t that useful. It seems trying to get the rare .moar items would be a bigger challenge. Perhaps there should be an e-peen for bumembling at least one of every sort of .moar file and that would encourage end-game players to explore the earlier content in depth?

If you want 8 or 9 andy male reproductive organ .moar files each run then HSB is great. Basically it’s good for getting the spider peen and not much more.

One of these things is not like the others. A klan player who attends one good raid and uses 12 visits earns more scoops than a solo player can earn using 36 visits. Over the course of a week a klan player should get a benefit, but taking the time to raid should offer an edge, not allow a group to predetermine winners before scoops are even earned. I can see a really reasonable raiding benefit being an extra 100 scoops a week. That is 25 extra cards or scoops to absorb attacks or to kill competitors scoops. A clear and worthwhile advantage, but not so overwhelming that it literally shuts out 98% of those playing the game.

Honestly this combined with my inability to make it to 3 raids a week pretty much encouraged me to barely participate in raiding. Sure it’s fun to get medals on your alts and stock up on the domination epeens but realistically a game that is basically rewarding such a small group of players is counterproductive.

These new changes are definitely changing it so that solo players are much more competitive than they previously were. However there is still a major problem with the top bracket and due to the number of alts that are active in headsets and sexy hikers I think those brackets are going to be primarily contested by scully, meeeeee, myself and possibly one or two other individuals.

I don’t like how klan vanilla is basically a function of how many times you can run denture or jojos (since it’s easier to get 3 scoops on jojos now). In this scenario those klans that can bring to bear a handful of people with 10+ alts are simply going to dominate.

So when do forum thread counts change?

The process that changes thread length runs every 30 minutes but it’s inconsistent as to the exact time everyday. I bumume it’s related to the period of time that rollover processes are running which can delay the time in which the server runs these other processes.

For the most part it seems most thread count changes happen between :05 and :15 – :35-:45

Really the problem isn’t so much minrepair which offers some advantages but is actually more related to the obscene power curve that the DML offers and the ridiculous advantage it provides vis-a-vis faux news.

As I see it you have three major ways of fixing the problem.

1)Alter the way damaged equipment works so that any bonuses the equipment provides go away even if the item breaks during the middle of combat. In order to make this workable you need to make it where people can change equipment choices during the middle of a combat. Based on the number of times I’ve accidentally left my piltons equipped this would be a useful function regardless.

2)Nerf the DML some. Currently it provides virtually unlimited douchebaggery a mbumive offense bonus and a most importantly a mbumive defense bonus. The result is that DML equipped trolls can nuke forums rapidly and grind forums nobody else can even reliably beat with bankrupting themselves. Yes the item is insanely expensive but can be purchased via dedicated grinding in a couple of weeks. After that the upkeep costs are mbumive but with min repair it’s easy to get past them.

3) Nerf Faux. Currently Faux requires camwhores spend 300+ smileprins, and emos 400+ smileprin (god help a re-re). In contrast a DML troll can beat it with roughly 40-50 Smileprin. Combined with the mbumive cred multiplier it means that DML trolls can grind faux x4 daily make a profit and climb the credit leaderboard at alarming rates. Honestly if faux’s rewards were cut by 40-50% it would reduce the outlandish rewards bumociated with grinding it and transform it back to a challenge forum.

Short of doing this I think it’s critical to introduce camwhore and emo equipment on par with the DML or else the power balance will continue to be felt.
