Your moment of reflection for 11/16Since this thread has received such overwhelming positive response (and by that, I mean I have not attracted a horde of gibbering troglodytes like a certain other sensitive member of this forum), I will be continuing my poetry series. Enjoy.

Would this be akin to panhandling? Though I guess you don’t care what people do with their brownie points once you get their money.

Your moment of reflection for 11/16Hmm. Apparently the forum’s linebreak code has as much a problem with Shakespearean Sonnet Form as the previous poster.
Why did I expect better, from either? (view post) |

Your moment of reflection for 11/16The garish day doth interrupt the night A momentarily lapse in which we grieve Until dark’s warm embrace dissolves the light And showers us night’s gifts which we receive
The comfort of an old familiar friend The sweet release of sleep, perchance to dream The rapt embrace that never seeks its end The glorious midnight sky with stars agleam
From dawn till dusk your vision is attacked By photons shooting signals to your brain By overstimulation, high impact Designed to make you frantic and insane
How fortunate that I cannot recall A day where blessed night refused to fall. (view post) |

What are you drinking now?Currently I am enjoying this exquisite glbum of Cabernet Sauvignon, grown from a small vineyard just south of Bordeaux that my family visited on an extended European vacation.

When a man’s life ends, he often turns to the religion that makes him the best offer for a last-ditch effort at salvation. Fear of the unknown makes a man grasp at straws.
Interesting to note that it also happens to a man at the end of his “artistic” lifespan. And considering the subject matter, those are extremely emphatic quotation marks. (view post) |

This is not dinner theatre! This is the great spiritual mirror that reflects only what lies within! And like all mirrors, it distorts the image to show you the truth! Do you open a concession stand at a sunset? Do you hawk hot dogs at the birth of a child? No, no, a thousand times NO! Log in to see images!
To all of those with kind words, my thanks. Performance is a tragedy, the act existing in only the most fleeting of moments, each second tumbling into the void to clear the way for the next. And thus, the Performer kills his children as quickly as they emerge from the womb. Only in the hearts and minds of you, my esteemed audience, does the Performance live on, and for this, again, I offer my thanks. (view post) |

HUZZAH! Expression triumphs! As some of you are no doubt aware, last night was the consummation of several months of planning, preparation, and rehearsal, resulting in the wildly successful premier exhibition of my multi-media performance art masterpiece, Le Torrent des Âmes.
The performance was a marvel of poignant beauty and sinister intent. The audience was brought from the brink of rapture to the heights of despair, and back again, and rewarded us our due standing ovation! Details… I will not divulge! You must EXPERIENCE SALVATION FOR YOURSELF!
I will say, to answer the question most asked, that no animals were harmed in the making of Le Torrent des Âmes: the piglet corpses were unused dissection subjects liberated from Helmsley High School’s Biology lab, and thus were dead long before being encased in Jello.
Plans are already in the works for an encore performance in the coming weeks, and I can promise this time that MY MOTHER will not be present, trying to pbum out rice krispie treats again. How embarrbuming, to think I was spawned from such a simple woman…
Please use this thread to discuss how your life has changed since attending Le Torrent des Âmes, and to shower your praise on we, your humble entertainers. (view post) |
