What type of ‘God’ refutes itself by definition? I’m just wondering as to what definition of God your argument is effective against.

Anything with spiritual/supernatural/created the universe/powers to do the logically impossible.

Now some people define “god” as “nature” or some part of nature, in which case yes, the actual thing so named exists, but to call it “god” is simply bizarre.

God is fake. Gods are fake.

Indeed, the concept of god explains all natural phenomena, in the same way that “i don’t know” can be a rational answer to any question.

The mystical is a cop-out, not an explanation.

That’s what I’ve been trying to get him to grasp. It’s a self-contradictory concept. But, like all faithers, he believes that he can make the impossible be possible just by wishing it to be.

But wishes are useless.

OC, I think he’s trying to argue that some things could be imperceptible to our human senses, i.e. different dimension, or other instruments.

No, he’s trying faith. He’s so desperate to shore up the mythos he cherishes that he’s willing to attack our means of understanding reality in order to keep the myth. But he can’t have it both ways. His very communication with me presumes that the content of each sentence, i.e. what it means, is what it is, and is not what it is not.

And I went back 5 or 6 pages and didn’t see anything you asked me which I haven’t answered. If you could tell me what it was, I’ll certainly try to answer it.
