How much can you make from Jewstein's jobs?Anyone else been noticing that for the most part the Current Level+1 jobs (for those of you who aren’t L35 yet) are being speed grinds and not just “pwn” jobs? It’s annoying especially with the tendency to lag. Speed runs should really just be abolished altogether.
Normally I wouldn’t give a damn, but as of late the amount of “timed” jobs have been increasing, and they’re just not doable with lag. (view post) |

Hall of Faded Fame is dropping pink floyds like crazyYou all are aware that if/when PvP is added, Pink Floyd is going to have to be adjusted or it’ll be a must have “I win” bumon, right? Just putting it out there, since +30/+30 is a bit unbalancing.
The only way to fix it would be to, as the other thread suggested, have special attacks that might have the ability to de-buff someone. (view post) |

Hall of Faded Fame is dropping pink floyds like crazyMeh, all I know is I was making more grinding PrayPal, Homicide Girls, and before that Wiccapedia than grinding a L31 forum four times.
EDIT: Definitely work in a Zombie Apoc run – it netted me a lump of copper wire which fetched nearly 40k in addition to an Italian which did the same.

Special attacks/abilities in the game?This would be interesting if it was incorporated into new .moar files. Perhaps for different .moars, you can have a different effect chance added to your attack. The harder the file to put together, the more likely the status effect will hit.
Dogreat timesent = Confuse (lowers forum offense making their attacks do less damage) Music = Daze/Deafen (raises user offense) Picture = Blind/Distract (increases chance of missed attacks by forums – which I guess would be a boost to user defense) Program = Crash (should be rare – gives a chance of a critical hit which results in an insta-killed thread) Video = Insanity (should be the rarest effect – the posters go insane from what they saw and start damaging the thread in addition to you in the process with each post) (view post) |

What's the cap for upkeep?The Wiki claims it’s around 5% less damage to items per level, so theoretically the “cap” would be at or around 20 – but if you keep it at 10 or 15, that’s 5-10 extra points you have to reallocate. (view post) |

Fix GamblebotI’m not getting into probability here, but I can just comment that I can predict with a reasonable amount of “**** you, gamble-bot” accuracy when I’m going to get screwed before I even start playing the hand, and that’s just not fun. A surrender option when the bumhole’s showing a 10, face, or Ace would be a welcome addition, because you’re GOING to push or lose those hands outright the vast majority of the time, even if you’ve got 17-20.
And this isn’t idle speculation either – the amount of tens and Ace/9, 10/10, and flat out Blackjacks this thing plays is uncanny. (view post) |

Fix GamblebotIt does seem you’re outright screwed or destined to push the vast majority of the time the dealer shows a face, 10, or ace. I mean, I just pretty much chalk those up. The only other thing to do is *always* bumume the other card he’s holding is a 10 or Ace and hit to get at least +1 higher. That’s the only way. If I see he’s showing a 5 and I’ve got 14, I hit. If I see he’s holding a 3 and I’ve got 14, I’ll stand, since *most* of the time he’s holding a 10 or Ace. If he’s showing 4 and I’ve got 14, I hit simply because I know there’s over half a chance at the best case scenario, I get a push.
To make it a bit more fair since it does seem disproportionately rigged to the dealer is to give a “Surrender” option for only the draw and first hit. I know it’s exceptionally rare in Blackjack, but there’s precedent for it, and losing 5k/12.5k is better than the whole 10k/25k. Using a Surrender should interrupt any scoop streak, though.
Ever since the new options were added the bot is kicking my bum more often than not. If you go on a run, quit when you lose two hands in a row – I’ve found once you lose two in a row winning from then on gets a ****ton more unlikely.
But it is ****ing uncanny how many times you’ll have 10/10 and the dealer will have the same or a magic Blackjack. Or if you’ve got 10/9 and he’s got 10/10 or a Blackjack. (view post) |

Better web spiders?The only problem with a spider that costs 20m would be the issue of it getting damaged. You’d have cases where you’d be going broke just maintaining the damned thing while streaking or dominating. You’d almost have to give the thing *mbumive* +Upkeep boosts as well.
This is why the audio/picture/movie/program-specific and double/triple yield spider is the best idea. Make the “targeted” ones cost 2.5m apiece, and the double/triple yield (meaning you get 2 and 3 random files per thread respectively – and yes duplicates should be possible) cost 5 and 7.5 respectively.
Again, posting it for this page, I’d also like to see a ”.moar store” that sells maybe 50 random files of increasing value each day as a way for less affluent players to have a chance of picking up a file they might need without having to drop multi-millions for new spiders. (view post) |

Better web spiders?Another idea would be another PPWN shop like store for Ep3 called “More More .moar” which stocks certain randomized .moar files for x amount of Log in to see images!. Maybe even rig it to the same codebase as Herschel’s so the store only stocks the grade of files the player would be looking for.
In addition, allowing transfer of .moar files between characters (but only on the same account, which would influence people to buy more brownie points) would kick bum.
As for the “it’d be too easy” people – how about spiders that are rigged to ONLY pick up picture, movie, dogreat timesent, or audio files, and/or ones that will pick up 2 or 3 files per thread? Again, these would need to be pricey. That would allow targeting and not make it so you can merely keep grinding a certain forum until you *know* you’ll get the file. (view post) |
