	A very SERIOUS discussion about Antifreeze Scoops. Seriously. SG94 Posted: A 5 a day limit on antifreeze would make them way harder to obtain than any other scoop. I still don’t know what’s wrong with my suggestion to make GambleBot pay only 6:5 on a BJ rather than 3:2. What we’re trying to avoid is making it “mandatory” for people to gamble in order to compete in Domination. As it stands, the more you gamble, the more of a benefit for Domination (and your wallet) it becomes. Changing the payout will reduce the amount of Flezz you win (and in the long run will reduce your ability to keep gambling). But it doesn’t really fix the problem. Putting a limit on the number of scoops you can get makes it much more attainable for any user to log in and get them daily, if they so choose. We have limits on some of the other scoops too (as was previously mentioned, Lemon, Pistachio) so it’s not like this is a new concept. In general for the future we’d like better and more ways for users to get scoops, but not at a cost of sitting at your computer day in and day out. We want to avoid a situation where if you’re devoted enough to stay up all night and do an action (in this case gambling) that it gives you such an advantage over other players that no one else wants to participate (which is the current issue). If the solution we’re proposing doesn’t address the issue, and worse, causes an issue, we can look to adjust again. This fix is quick and easy to do and should stop the current abuse and level the playing field for people to get involved again. 	A very SERIOUS discussion about Antifreeze Scoops. Seriously. Hey all, We have reviewed all of the various suggestions, and in the sake of time and ease to implement we are proposing the following solutions to the Antifreeze Scoops issue. 1) Limit Gamble-Bot 3000 to only give out up to 5 Antifreeze scoops per user per day. 2) Allow Gamble-Bot 3000 to give out Antifreeze scoops for Guess My Number & Paper, Rock, Scissors as well. 	New Domination Card Suggestions evilhamster Posted: I just think a lot of those suggestions on the first page are overpowered compared to existing cards and should be scaled down/re-worked to be in line with them for effect. Yes, which is why we won’t be doing a lot of the suggestions on the first page. The suggestions on the previous page are a more defined list. I put them up here for discussion to see how they go over and what issues might exist that I might not have thought about. Also, to see if they spark any other “balanced” card ideas. 	New Domination Card Suggestions MySpace Tom Posted: I think Slipstream would be abusable as a means of getting large #s of cards with a small # of scoops. Consider: 1. Player has 4 scoops, buys a Slipstream, then uses it. 2. Player has 10 scoops, buys one card (any kind) and a Slipstream, then uses it. 3. Player has 12 scoops, buys two cards and a Slipstream, then uses it. 4. Repeat 2 and 3 as necessary. As long as the player keeps getting offered Slipstreams, it seems like they could repeat this pattern indefinitely, obtaining 1-2 extra cards each time. And since they’re cashing in two or three times at each step, they have that many chances to get another Slipstream. The only obvious way I can think of to avoid the infinite loop problem would be to impose a hard cap on the # of times a player can use Slipstream, say once a week or once a day. Or prevent it from being offered more than once every 4+ card draws. Good point. Although.. is it such a bad thing to have people in last in the standings with a ton of cards? Currently the leader in my bracket has something stupid like 50+ cards. Balance of power isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But yes, valid point. (view post)	04/15/2008

I think some of these cards that affect more scoops than their cost can severly shift the balance towards klans winning every bracket they have more than one player in. For example: – Every kid loves ice cream: Give X scoops to another player (Ex: Give 5 chosen scoops to some user) Would be severely unbalanced- maybe better if it was 2. But that might still be too powerful. – Dy-no-mite!: Removes X scoops from chosen opponent, removes X – Y scoops from you (Ex: Remove 5 scoops from someone, lose 2 yourself) Yeah the card costs and X and Y are just examples, nothing is defined yet. This is such a cool idea, I love it and want it to be available, but right now I just see it locking down klan pod control even more. X players will get medals – they use all scoops to obtain shields and improvement cards. Other klan members use all scoops to get ‘Every Kid Loves Ice Cream’ and destruction cards. If that method was followed in combination with vanilla and a bit of anti-freeze every pod could be determined with certainty based on which klan had the most members in a pod. Joker – see above. Again, serious power advantage for klans. Agreed, we could always make the cost more. So costs you 4 scoops, but transfer 2 or even 1. Again this wouldn’t solve the problem, just make it harder to make it useful. 	New Domination Card Suggestions Sir Tasnica Posted: Slipstream could be abused, especially early in Domination when most people are building up cards instead of scoops. A player could spend 4 scoops on a Slipstream and then use it immediately, making a 6 scoop profit (or turning that card into 2.5 more cards). With some luck, a player could build up a large number of cards with a relatively low number of initial scoops (with no loss of Fleez or visits). I think that this strategy is completely legit! 	New Domination Card Suggestions This thread’s been going for a while so we thought that we’d post our tentative list. This is by no means final, just a ROUGH list of cards (and direction) that we’re seriously considering when we have the time. Please feel free to comment, use the direction we’re going and add to it. Keep in mind balance, very important. Regular Cards (cost may be adjusted) – Pick your poison: The type of the next X scoops that would be stolen/destroyed is chosen (Ex: The next 5 scoops stolen/destroyed will be Vanilla – bumuming I have 5 vanilla) – Card Shark: Discard someone’s card at random (can’t steal someone’s last card) – Every kid loves ice cream: Give X scoops to another player (Ex: Give 5 chosen scoops to some user) – Joker: Give X user a card of your choosing – male reproductive organshot: Nullifies the next card X user tries to use (doesn’t have to be directed at you) – Crouching Coward: The next offensive card that you play on a player will appear anonymous – Dy-no-mite!: Removes X scoops from chosen opponent, removes X – Y scoops from you (Ex: Remove 5 scoops from someone, lose 2 yourself) – Slipstream: If you have less than 4 scoops get 10 random scoops Uber Cards (cost to be defined) – Erection: Takes X scoops of your choosing and puts them all into one scoop type (Ex: 5 chosen scoops all become Chocolate Scoops) – Demolition: Redistribute X scoops of one type and then get evenly distributed (Ex: 5 Chocolate scoops become 1 of each other colour) – Pbum the Buck: Protects you from the next card, hits the user ahead (or behind) in the standings – of whatever medal group your choose (Ex: The next card will hit the player AHEAD of me in the MIN SCOOPS race – you’d choose the variables) – Spread the love: When you have less than 4 scoops, remove X random scoops from each of the top 3 players (Similar to bumhole, but spreads the love) – Peek-a-boo-boo: Look at your opponent’s hand, force a card to be discard (of your choosing perhaps) – Chameleon: The next offensive domination card will appear to come from the user of your choosing – Mirror Mirror: Sends the next attack back at the source – Dirty Bomb: After this card is used, the next card you use effects target player (in any bracket in all domination groups) Thoughts/comments appreciated. Ok fine. So MAYBE it has SOMETHING to do with gaining scoops. But really, enhancements to sTalk are meant for General Game Discussion. Now let’s resume discussion of cards.. Please resize the sTalk window to be larger, that way when I’m playing a blackjack hand about every 5 seconds I don’t have to scroll down every time I want to click on the 1000 Flezz bet. After resizing window should make the card pics bigger for easier reading during speed play too!
