I’ve been thinking more about this, and the way I think to really make such a forum take off is to dissociate people’s histories when they change their name. That way when someone is screwed by “john doe is really HoG”, HoG could rename john doe to something else, and start afresh (with no post history tied to the character ID). |

actually imo the deleting post history (or just not linking it) is a niceish idea but not really necessary, since it’s only slightly more expensive to create a new alt. I think the much bigger problem is that coming up with an original, fun character that you have ideas for is a tricky business and one person can undo it very easily. |
