This is Part 1 of an exciting tripartite “Missionbuildr” campaign!

Note: Some of the following could be construed as Episode 3 SPOILERS FROM THE FUTURE, although we’re considering them “open secrets.” If you want Ep 3 to be total surprise, avoid reading this series of threads.

As some of you may have predicted, one of the forums in Episode 3 is going to be a parody of Forumwarz Flamebate itself. It’s going to be called Battlethreadz Lamebait.

To help build a mission around it, we’re asking the community to pitch in.

While we have an Apprentice team to help create content, they’re all working pretty hard as it is. Besides, since “Battlethreadz” is about all of you, we figured we should get the whole community involved.

Note: The final stage of this series involves rigging Forumbuildr for one week so that the Forumwarz parody is forced in. You’ll be notified when ahead of time, but consider this an early warning!

For this stage, we just have a simple request: Name the NPC who asks you to pwn our site. It should be someone who’s obsessed with the game, but loves to pick it apart. Eventually they ask you to take it down for good, so that others don’t have to suffer (and to prevent them from spending all their time there).

How it works:

• It will probably be based on an IRL player, but it could be anything.

• Just suggest a name in a reply here (and any supporting info you want), and people are encouraged to win/fail vote it. Therefore, one suggestion per post works best.

• The top suggestions will be put to a poll later. The poll will not necessarily be binding, due to the risk of abuse, but will be a good guideline for us.

• The winning entry will become a character in Episode 3 and an enemy in Lamebait. If it’s based on an IRL player, we will ask them for permission first.

• The runner-up entries will be named as the NPC’s many “alts” in a conversation, though this also may be dependent on getting permission.

• BP bonuses are available to people who come up with really good suggestions, or back it up with ideas for an avatar, custom title, etc. These will be informal rewards, as I’m not running this part as a contest. This partly because…

• The Apprentice team have already been notified about this and came up with some good ideas, which will probably end up here.

So, how about it? Who would want to pwn Forumwarz? Who’s the biggest hater?

though his GURPS campaign kept him entertained for awhile, he has decided that Lamebate has become boring and is beyond saving, just wants to wash his hands of the whole affair.

SKEEVE — Disgusted with all the newfabulous persons who don’t respect his oldfabulous person majesty, he quit the site entirely but can’t help following the forums. He’s getting more and more appaled with the low quality of posts by posters who are coming from other not-as-good troll sites and trying to make a name for themselves. So he hires you to put the few decent members left out of their misery.
