a while ago, someone wrote a java script to spam the server with requests in order to obtain multiple copies of items received in tubmail. the person i managed to get it from was not the person who made it originally.

Our medals were won by teamwork, not cheating. Some extra scoops won from a longbum 5 hour raid doesn’t really give an advantage against an obviously bigger exploit: Last minute pistachio.

So (for instance) the 6+ Wechall alts in bracket #3 last week with 6+ x however many additional scoops you earned from your exploit raid (using teamwork of course) didn’t make any difference to the brackets outcome? I’ll admit the insane lag also influenced the outcome, though it might not have been an issue without the extra scoops. It just depends how many you earned really.

WeChall are all a bunch of cheating fabulous persons and should have all their medals stripped, and their internets taken away Log in to see images!

If anyone actually gives a flying ****, here’s what really happened:

A while ago, some keen-eyed raiders noticed that we were periodically awarded mysterious bonus vanilla scoops. For weeks, it was bumumed that these scoops were awarded when the raiding party held the same 12 forums for a certain amount of time.

All in all, they didn’t add up to much, but we knew they were there, and figured that it was intentional.

Finally, some experimentation was done, and we thought we had found out the cause. In order to find out if this really worked, we tried it aggressively for one raid. One raid. Then we reported it.

Most of the people involved were regular raiders who give up 10 hours a week for klan raiding. Raiding twice a week, we sacrifice last minute pistachio, and 40-visit-rounds.

If anyone is still reading at this point, I’d be curious to know exactly how many medals you think WeChall earned for no other reason than bug exploitation? I’ll go out on a limb here and tell you straight that we lost more due to last minute server lag than we gained from a single broken raid, but believe what you will.

In general: I realize that it feels like a small thing, and I don’t think there is any way to prove one way or another if exploited scoops made a difference in any given bracket. In some brackets 1 extra scoop is the difference between winning and losing, in others 200 extra scoops wouldn’t matter. Every experienced player knows that. They all also know that every scoop is an advantage, if it wasn’t no one would bother with some of the tedious things that are required to earn extras.

I doubt that anything that was done was so overwhelmingly horrifying, however the point is that there is a code that is supposed to be applied to Haxploitation. It is given for doing the right thing for the game. It is not given for taking the thing you find and using it to your own advantage until the info is leaked and then doing the right thing.

Jesus people, try a little harder to be less ****ing mediocre and desperate. How the hell do internet pixels matter so much that one is willing to cheat for them? How is a cheated achievement an achievement?

Like I said, you’re getting the wrong order. When the info was leaked, it was no more than just a bug. Only after we found out how it really worked did it become a serious exploit.
