Some posts are present in ALL forums. The headset thing is one of them, but there’s also “have a @good @month @number::1-31” or something like that, and “Halp my internet is broken” and many others, such as asking about a @username’s absense or asking what thread this is and what has been going on in it. I just figured there’s a list somewhere, of generic typical posts that are not forum-specific. |

Evil Trout decides it. Generally, it seems to relate to what just makes sense. Certain forums would have a bigger ego than others, some would be more offensive than others, etc. Obscure Phobia Support Board is superweak because it makes sense that the forumgoers would be unable to stand up to anyone. Great Firewall of China has a huge ego and ability to dish it out because the moderators get to decide who lives and dies. Evil Trout also sometimes hears pleas on how tough a forum should be, if you catch him while he’s making it, but ultimately it’s his choice. Or maybe it’s actually Jalapeno Bootyhole’s choice, behind the scenes. Dunno. |
