If it’s the same thing I’m thinking about.
Control Panel > Action Center > Change User Account Control settings(UAC)> Move slider all the way down to Never Notify.
However, this doesn’t get rid of the security warning when opening some files. But, if it’s a file you open often, you can just uncheck the “Always ask before opening this file” box.
I’m sure it’s possible, but it never bothered me as it only comes up with installers.
And with a quick google: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/itproxpsp/thread/e3008c75-48b4-4a6c-bc14-5a20ce72cd7f

Meh, I’m not a fringe user. The minor performance difference would never come up in my daily use of a pc. Probably because I don’t work in IT, unlike some pretentious bumholes I know. |

7 also takes a good chunk of those (****ing finally these concepts have been around 30 years) key computer security concepts like least privilege and does an OK (not great) job of running security.
but yeah ironically the only thing I actually use on windows that I couldn’t do just as well on Linux, well, there’s two things. 1) SQL Server and 2) Reaper. Linux has Oracle which is “Unbreakable” (except when the DBA has to do a critical patch update lolololol) and MySQL, both of which offer comparable capabilities and Reaper runs on Snow Leopard.
Overall I’ve liked 7. I’m working on changing the default users directory to off the main hard disk though; **** ****es me off. Log in to see images!
