Well, practically no one plays it anymore… What’s counterproductive about this thread?

If Incit had funny people (funny here to be defined as “having more or less the same kind of sense of humour as I do” ) playing it, it might be good. Even then it’d probably be on a short timer before it got old. Unless there was a steady supply of fresh pictures to play with.

Fresh pictures can be added, but sadly I suspect the infestation of stupid is beyond repair. It’s like trying to fumigate a house when it’s made of more termite than it is wood – you’re better off just burning the whole thing down and starting again on something better.

because it takes away from the spirit of incit as JB says. plus, it’s not like CZ is losing money of this.

But it’s forumwarz… People act like idiots all the time. To make INCIT an intellectual endeavor is to miss the point.

Sorry, don’t mistake my hate for unfunny idiots for wanting to make it over-intellectual.

A good meme well applied, I still count as clever. ****wit behaviour is when you can’t even come up with an applicable meme.

I’m going to have to agree. I kind of miss some of the old INCIT “memes.” Some things are just hilarious with any given picture. Sure, it’s nice to see some original humour in INCIT, but it’s also nice to see people.

INCIT at its best is NOT a sweatshop for original content, but a community of people gathered together to say stupid things about stupid pictures. I’m saying that the humour of the pictures isn’t what makes INCIT fun (when it’s fun). It’s the people with whom you are playing.

I don’t care if a submission’s been used before. Through the voting system the cream will rise to the top in my opinion. And even if it doesn’t, it’s just a silly game. Losing to ****ty subs happens, it’s no big deal.

I enjoyed to go into INCIT every now and then, but now there is no real point in doing so because noone is ever there. The only thing that ever bothered me about it was the voting, not the entries. If I found that people were voting in ones that I thought were very special on a consistent basis I usually left.

I have no problem with the idea of not being allowed to reuse captions when they make no sense, but to see “Dear Diary” 3 times on the same image never bothered me. The only one’s I thought were completely without merit were one’s that referenced someone currently in the chat for no reason, but to each their own.

If there were enough of a community that losing 4 players meant nothing I’d say keep things as they are, but for some reason, those few changes have led to people shouting about nazi warlords in INCIT ruining the game for everyone and while that’s obviously insanity, I eed those other 4 players to play it myself Log in to see images!

ED, you and I should go in every so often with a group of friends and just play it ourselves. We’d have the whole room to ourselves anyways so it would be our own private little IDC Log in to see images!

but really, if you go into incit now, it’s just a bunch of people saying really, really, really stupid ****. like, horribly stupid ****. and the incit chat is either dead/full of idiots, and you can barely ever get 5 submissions in, and the stupidest subs always win.

either incit needs to be left alone to die for good, or more members (good normal not very special animoo members) need to start playing to save it Log in to see images!

If you want more people to actually care about the game and participate, I’d honestly suggest starting with better submissions. Posters like that are why I end up leaving INCIT instead of actually participating.

Do the rules have something to do with why people aren’t hanging out there? Sure. Is that the overwhelming reason? Not in my experience. The general consensus is that the people who play regularly don’t even care about the game. They submit **** entries like the ones I linked to… worse, the rest of the people in the room don’t even vote them down.

So my suggestion, if you care about the game and really want to make it better and see more people play, stop submitting dump entries and stop dump voting. (Which, incidentally, are also against the rules.)

I have a hard time taking advice from someone who pretty much never plays INCIT. 16 wins? I have over 700 wins between my alts. I used to play INCIT a lot. I haven’t been around in a while and I see that everyone’s bored. The way to attract players to INCIT is to have a fun community. If you really care about INCIT, you should be playing too.

Another suggestion: have themed INCIT. Some users used to do this every now and then. Create a theme. Whoever wins in that theme, you get to pick the theme for the next round.
