Don’t see many musical concerts, but if we’re counting comedians I’ve see: Lee Evans (At the huge BIG tour he did at the 02), Russel Howard and Jimmy Carr. |

I was living in norway and one friend of mine was a big snob and knew indie rockers so he suggested we go to see explosions in the sky. They were awesome. |

This is really hard.
I want to say seeing Rush play a 3 hour set with no opening band was pretty awesome.
Scorpions/White Snake/Dokken concert was sick too. Best recent concert was probably Taproot/Disturbed. |

I went to a metallica convert last year, something like 25,000 people went, it was the biggest concert in my city in 30 years.
Also a styx/boston concert I went to was very good. |

I’m insanely jealous Log in to see images! Bowie came to Chile for my 2 year old birthday and then again when I was about 9, and I doubt he’ll come again Log in to see images!
My best concert was Die Ärzte, because I totally loved them when they came to Chile and they’re german and absolutely no one knows them here (I still don’t know why they made a Latin American mini tour). The concert was about $10, there were probably less than 1000 people in there, I got to the front row and I got a drumstick. It was priceless.
Other good concerts were REM/Kaiser Chiefs, and Dolores O’Riordan. |

The last concert I went to was the only concert I went to, and that was a Yes concert with my dad. It was pretty good. |

It’s a three-way tie for me. I’ve seen a ****ing lot of concerts, seeing as San Francisco and Sacramento aren’t far at all. The tie is between Tool and Meshuggah on Tool’s Lateralus tour, Dio, Motorhead, and Iron Maiden on the Dance Of Death Tour, and Thrice, Circa Survive, and Pelican when Thrice was touring to promote The Alchemy Index. |

Sigur Ros put on an excellent show—lights, just the right amount of audience participation, and they shot confetti. |

Wow. You should brag to BoP about this.
Beirut gave me the best goosebumps. I thought my chest was going to explode when they started playing Nantes. I want to climb inside Zach Condon’s body and just live there. I almost didn’t get tickets, both SF shows sold out immediately. Amazingly, I found an artist dude that sold me the tickets at face value.
Runner up: even though I’m not so into them anymore, I was able to get incredibly good tickets to The Decemberists when they were backed by the L.A. Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl. I was about 20 feet from the stage. Something about the proximity combined with the power of the full orchestra made it magical. Plus Andrew Bird opened for them and he puts on a hell of a show. I’ve never seen someone shred a bow like that. I wonder how many he goes through in a tour. |
