Instead of showing reserve price (since that unfairly skews the bidding) how about you make it so that if you bid something over the reserve but no one else bids, it automatically raises your bid to the reserve price, since you were willing to pay that much anyway.

Also, if it doesn’t work in real life auction system, don’t do it in a game one. It’s just a bad idea.

it does that now… if, at the end of the auction, you met the reserve but bids didn’t, it will bump your bid up and end you the item

This would be a good change, but to go along with it you would need to allow people to rebid on an auction they’re leading in order to increase their max bid. EBay lets you do this currently, but Kyoubai does not.

I agree that we need multiple bidding up to the reserve price, but that won’t help if you already have bid over the reserve and no one else has bid on the item. If you bid over the reserve price the minimum bid needs to jump to the reserve price.

This may cause some flezz transfer issues, but(we already have the bid bump) Even if multiple bidding and min bid jump aren’t implemented it’d be nice to know when the reserve has been met.

I think that this sums it up nicely?

Requests for the following changes to the Kyoubai system:

1. A visible ‘flag’ regarding whether or not an Auction has a Reserve Price (but not the actual Reserve Amount)

2. An indication of whether or not the Reserve Amount has been met.

3. If your bid is less than the Reserve Amount, a message indicating that the Reserve has not yet been met.

4. If your bid is greater than the Reserve Amount, then it is set to that amount, with the remainder left over as ‘proxy rebidding’ as needed.

5. The option to increase your proxy bid, without having to wait for another player to ‘overbid’ you.

Or just bump up the deposit for setting a high reserve.
