FLCL it’s cool, a little weird (like the part that looks like South Park) but great.

One Piece is amazing, really, i love it.

My favorite animes are Trigun (#1), Hellsing, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin (though the manga’s better), Full Metal Alchemist (because it’s ****ing creative), and some other I don’t remember. I don’t watch anime anymore though, but I still have to buy the last volumes of the Trigun Maximum manga, which is amazing.

I started watching Gungrave too (from the guy who did Trigun) but never finished it. It was p. nice.

Oh and Excel Saga is hilarious.

I did watch the OVAs! They make the story much more complete, and were a relief after the end of the series (when they started with those horrible fillers).

I call bull****s on that. FLCL has a lot of serious layers underneath the silliness. That’s one of the reasons why I like it so much. And the subtlety of the seriousness contrasts really well with the prominence of the silliness.

Anyway. The last anime I watched was Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. That kind of managed to kill my interest in anime though, since I was left with a feeling of “can anything really top this?”

Well if you dig into the “serious” stuff they are actually just random ideas put together and doesn’t really make much sense in the larger scale. It doesn’t even have a clear storyline. Lots of things are left unexplained, then ending was an open-ending. Actually maybe that’s what modern art is like.

The music plays a major role in it for me.
