Thoughts?
I think he has some good points, but the pantaloons are a bit excessive.

how does Thomas Paine know what’s happening in 2009 he died in 1809 lol time paradox also lol at old, angry conservative screaming about communism
****, I hate when people put words into the mouths of ‘founding fathers’ (I’ve actually always hated that phrase). Franklin, Jefferson, Paine, etc., were Enlightenment thinkers – they operated on a totally separate thought stream than we are on today. Truth be told, they’d probably be as divided politically as we are now, though I have a sneaking suspicion they’d move to the U.K. for the public healtcare. Log in to see images!
Anyway, people aren’t deciding the success of the of the stimulus bill based on what it’s doing, they’re deciding based on political affiliation. Most conservatives are calling it a failure, most liberals are calling it a success. In my opinion – the economy would start to turn around this year, regardless of the bill. But at the very least, the bill is pouring money into areas that have needed it for decades (infrastructure, education, the arts, etc.), so I’m in support of it.
However, I am in support of teabagging our senators. Log in to see images! Bill_Murray_Fan_7383 edited this message on 04/07/2009 3:30AM |

Put it into increased salary and benefits for the men and women of the armed forces – THEY NEVER FAILED YOU!
Treating soldiers like super-heroes is a mistake. It’s a profession that deserves a certain degree of respect, but they’re ordinary people, just like anyone else. “Hero treatment” should only be given to those who go out of their way to do something actually HEROIC. |
