I wrote this up in a thread that suggested just a clbum name and one or two vague ideas for attacks or attack trees (The author seemed to be unsure themselves, in fact).

Rather than having more useless threads that make obvious clbum suggestions that give little more than a name, I’m putting a somewhat-detailed clbum description up.

The goal of this thread is to:

A: Determine if the game mechanics put forward are workable, and if not then either correct them or replace them to make them so.

B: Determine reasonable attack damage, equipment bonuses, and other clbum-specific details.

C: Work-out other required supporting details, such as items store names, and etc.

D: Create a fleshed-out and working clbum which is unique and reasonably balanced.

Clbum: Furry:

Secondary: Spooge

Starter Pack: Chasing Tail™

BAAAWWWWW tree:

Cry Art Thief: You put hours and hours of loving MS Paint work into your pictures of Tails raping Pikachu art, so how dare people take it and spread it around on FORUMS!

Denial: It’s not about sex! Not all furries are perverts! Furries are hated because of who they are, not because of the ****storms they create! (Ok, yes, it’s a huge pack of lies, but you’ve gotta keep believing them or you’re going to have to kill yourself out of embarrbumment).

Convert: You’ve got a good thing going here; it’s not keeping you from getting laid anymore than your body-odor was before (as long as you like ugly gay men, anyway), although the porn is drawn like **** (but at least there’s a lot of it). Why not round up some new blood in the hopes that you can find somebody more attractive to turn you down for “yiffing”.

Defend Indefensible: How dare they attack your fellow fur? I don’t care if he “yiffs” the neighbor’s dog every night, there’s NO way to justify attacking somebody who’s a furry!

Fursecution: What? They haven’t considered you a valuable member of their community? They haven’t been “pawing-off” to the male-pregnancy/castration art you’ve been putting up? Obviously, this means they are an ANTI-FURRY HATE GROUP! Time to call in MORE FURS!

Pawing-Off Tree:

”Stolen” Porn: Hot stuff you snagged off of some fur’s website. Sure, they get ****y over it, but art needs to be FREE!

Fursuit: Pictures of people in sexy animal costumes… Mmm… Mickey Mouse…

”Reference” Pics: Ok, so few furs have any clue what animal anatomy actually looks like, and most of the ones who do think it’s too disgusting and keep using human parts anyway. But, in case anybody out there shares your love of badly-drawn dog male reproductive organ, you need as many people as possible to see pics to help their accuracy. (Animal mammary glands, bum, male reproductive organ, balls, and vag.)

Diaperfur Cubs: So what if they’re all three-and-under? They’re not REAL people, so that makes it ok!

Alternative/Hard: The truth is that, like all furries, you’re only in the fandom because you have some fetish that’s so extreme that you need people to tell you that it’s not a sign of serious mental illness, and to rush to your defense if word ever gets out. It’s probably a combination of cannibalism, torture, murder, kidnapping, and some more disturbing things, but that doesn’t matter. These people have been hounding you too much and you need to get them to back off a bit, so it’s time to reveal your TRUE fetishes!

Mechanic:

Furries are a low-defense/variable-offense cycle-heavy clbum that makes use of special abilities to increase their combat effectiveness.

To that end they have Fursecution, which ‘calls in another furry’ for a DoT effect with a strength that’s a function of their Charisma.

Furries start-off with 0 Spooge, and have to build it from consumables or using the pawing-off tree abilities.

The more spooge furries have, the more damage they do. Rather than being proportional to their max spooge, the bonus is instead based on the log of their current spooge and is open-ended.

The Pawing-Off tree abilities are all image-based attacks that basically all heal an ammount of ego and/or spooge but do little if any damage, with the exception of Alternative/Hard which causes the thread to take as much damage as it deals for a number of rounds. Aside from Alternative/Hard, none of these abilities consume spooge.

The BAAAWWWWW tree has long refreshes (4+), but is powerful. The “Pawing-Off” tree is all 1-2 refresh abilities.

Equipment:

Yiffing: Various kinds of sex toys. If FW ever gets one of those ****ty pet things going on, then Furries get a special pet-specific Yiffing slot.

Folios: A ****ty collection of ****tier art that they paid money for.

Fursuits: Ep2 equipment.

Glbumes: Furries can wear glbumes they buy at the Ppwn Shoppe.

How are they like emokids? How are they like camwhores? Do you have any kinds of attacks to suggest?

The big problem with that would be the fact that you would have to pwn a forum for furries in episode 1, so at one point furries are the enemy in the game.

So, it isn’t a mechanics problem, it is a problem with the storyline.

Not really, no. Furry conflicts are kinda like domestic violence; they’ll beat the **** out of each other with little or no provocation, but if ANYBODY else gets involved then they all focus on the outsider.

So, no, a furry would have no problem pwning other furries for money.

Frankly, I find it more disruptive to the story that every clbum has the same dialog trees, and even the Permanoob and Re-re clbumes do a pretty good job of producing legible text.

Trolls could act as an agent provocateur, causing infighting amongst the forum rabble. Meanwhile, camwhores could rely on someone white knighting for their fine bumes.

Ooh, that’s a neat idea for a camwhore, having a white knight sidekick to soak up damage!

I chose “spooge” because it’s a word that almost never sees usage without a furry behind it, and because they draw so damn much of it.

Now that we’ve established that these ideas aren’t in use and that they’re actually interesting, can we continue on to hashing out playbalance issues and numbers? ^^

Well the whole backstory that comes with each clbum could be about getting banned from the Furry Farm. That covers up the storyline problem.

Please make the other clbumes more interesting, unique, and more mechanically complex than “spam most powerful attack every round” before you go adding five or six unique abilities to a clbum that doesn’t exist, may not exist, and doesn’t really have a compelling reason to exist. (IMO, “furry” just doesn’t seem to fit in with the other five clbumes thematically.)

Plus, if damage over time is added to the game, it makes much more sense that hackers should get it at least before if not instead of other clbumes. Really, other clbumes should have at least 3 things unique about them before we roll out a clbum that has five or six unique mechanics.
