Right from the moment when I saw Saw, I laughed.

He hit’s on 17 now? Even Master Troll isn’t that dumb.

Hitting on a 17 isn’t stupid if you had higher than a 17, also dealers can’t stand on 17 or under (or is it 16 and under?). So all in all its not that stupid.

I stand corrected, but the other point is valid, if you had more than 17 it would make sense for gamble bot to take a chance rather than roll over and accept defeat.

It’s a bug, and a known bug at that. The dealer thinks he has a soft 17 because he has an ace in hand.

The way it’s supposed to work is that GB hits on anything upto 16, and soft 17.

I had a feeling it was something to do with the ace.

Anyway Gamblebot is rigged so he wins most of the time… Wouldn’t it make more sense just to have him “play clean” but win on a push like most blackjack games?

Actually, most Blackjack games give you your money back on a push. Making the dealer win ties is horrible for the player, much more so than almost any other rule variation. The house advantage comes from the fact that if the player and the dealer both bust, the dealer wins. I don’t think Gamble-Bot cheats.
