Lord Shplane Posted: quite untrue..theres more possible chess games than atoms in the known universe..it is usually a variation of some kind, all logical positions get a name eventually.

Lord Shplane Posted:
Nonsense. In our first game, SIG played an unconventional second move, to which I replied with a move that I can’t find in my database, trying to get SIG out of his possible preparation. That’s two moves in and out of book already. At the grandmaster level, the most beautiful games are often decided by straying from the conventional paths and improving on them. A beautiful example of this is Karpov – Kasparov, 1985 World Championship match, game 16 where Kasparov launched the brilliant novelty 8… d5! in a well-known theoretical position, with great effect. |

1. e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Bc4 Qh4+ 4. Kf1 d6 5. Nc3 c6 6. d4
Not sure how to evaluate this position. I don’t think I’m objectively better (yet), but I like my activity: in a practical sense, my position is easier to play. |

i wanted a game vs a person…not the chessworld. -its actually funny, people who use help like that..-you think you are good, because you can follow strategies that are handed to you on a silver platter? youre the worst of players, using outside help to give you wins while real players lose to computers and infinitely studied theory ...-hmpf is what i say to you and your needing to consult anything else, to play a simple game of chess SIG-ENABLING MOCK-CONGLER edited this message on 08/07/2008 12:50PM |

I have not consulted anything for this game. I’m just a person who likes reading books about topics that interest me. |

actually tbh i was pretty sure you were consulting something..-but let me tell you, youre just cheating yourself, when you use anything but your own mind on it..you end up thinking you are much better than you really are. but, do what you will..i know on my end im all just me playin, no bots no books no opening library..i need nothing to play a game of chess except my mind (and hopefully a board). a win is hollow to me if i have cheated..its not fully earned. |

We can go back and forth on this, I’m telling you I’m not consulting anything. I’m pretty much winging the opening as well, normally I ALWAYS play 2. Nf3 in stead of 2. f4
Anyway, Bb3
