If you want to start in Madagascar, include the word in your virus name. Still takes forever to spread off the island though. [edit] Hmmm. Tried this the first time and it worked, then it didn’t. Probably a coincidence. Oh well.

virus, resistances at 1,2,1,2, fever until i get madagascar, (around day 30,)
by this time i have like 100 evo points or more, so i pump up drugs, airborne and water ONLY if i need to get across borders, hemorrhaging, sneezing, coughing, fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, and important: kidney failure
without both hemorrhaging and kidney failure they don’t die fast enough. ****ed me off when i almost got it the first time but they were dieing too slow.
