"My Immortal", The worst fan fiction ever.I just finished reading this thread, and it is absurdly awesome. You, my old bean, are the ****. PLEASE continue posting these, I don’t laugh out loud that often with stuff on the computer (if you know what I mean, like somehow reading is a different sort of amusement to seeing something physically happen; I hypothesise laughter is a social device sort of thing, and as reading isn’t social you aren’t ‘required’ to do it, enough of my dribble however), but I have quite nearly ****ed myself with laughter. I am of the opinion that it is false, but so what? I mean, that takes NOTHING from the humour of it, it’s still there and funny as hell. If you could change one thing about ForumWarz, what would it be? I would make ‘sub-missions’, similar to the Trapped In The Cupboard mission; little fun distractions that reward you (not as much as pwning forums though, and do not contribute to your leveling) and give you something to do between forum visit refreshes.

For all who loved Batman; The Dark Knight (me included, was an awesome movie) prepare to lol your hearts out. I believe I ****ed a little while reading this I was laughing so hard. For those who do not know who Micheal Bay is, he’s the director who made fun, but plot devoid films like Transformers, Bad Boys etc. The script seriously does looks like a sequel to Transformers to me. How do you handle stress?Depends what it is. If it’s an important task that stressing me, put on some music and focus to get it done. If it’s some kinda spur of the moment thing, like getting mugged or something completely unexpected and unprepared for, just try and deal with it the best I can at the time and reflect about how I could of done better afterwards (bumuming I’m alive.) If it’s someone being a male reproductive organ or something social, confront them and get it resolved. If it’s grief, deal with it repsonsibly.

Abortion: Pro-life or pro-death?Pro-choice here; not pro-life or pro-death. I don’t think that anyone should be forced to kill their baby, nor do I feel that anyone should be forced to keep a baby they are unable to keep, not prepared for, is a enjoy child or even plain don’t want. I don’t see the issue really; if people don’t want their baby, abort it. If they do, keep it. Simple as that. (view post) |

Scientology - is it a cult?I can’t really see an awful load of difference between Scientology and any other religion. Fundamentally, Scientology preaches improbable and totally unprovable events as being real; at the end of the day, so does Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Paganism etc. However, at least these religions (besides Islam and the Old Testament of the Bible) teach somewhat admirable ethical stances whereas Scientology teaches only to empty your wallet for them. Scientology does indoctrinate people and coerce them with what is essentially propaganda, but so does the afore mentioned religions; children have no choice in the religion they are brought up in, and a belief in Hell etc often is just as traumatic and long reaching as being brainwashed by Scientology. Scientology also semi-worships L Ron Hubbard, which some say is indicitave of a cult; but do Christians not worship Jesus? Is it not essentially a cult revolving around worship or a dead man, a cult of the personality perhaps akin in definition to that of Nazi Germany and Hitler? However, Jesus, by Biblical reports (which are hardly reliable, but non-the-less continues to be theoretically practised by it’s followers) was a thouroughly wonderful man; a tireless and beautiful individual who taught forgiveness, love and peace. Hubbard and Hitler did not; Hubbard was a money grubbing, lame author and Hitler was an ehtical monster regardless of the temporary prowess he provided for Germany (at the cost of over 6 million lives.) I really don’t know what else would qualify something to be a cult, but by the preceeding definitions Scientology is no more a cult than every other organised, thiest religion. (view post) |

What's your religious affiliation?Athiest, although I dislike the majority of people who claim to be athiests. I am no dogmatist or bigot, as many athiests tend to be. However, I am strongly athiest with a firm opposition to organised religion, Creationism and essentially anything that disallows personal growth in faith in favour of conformity to the preached ideal of essentially every single church, synagogue etc, or anything which relies upon ‘faith’ in general; essentially, the issue in question is either provable with evidence, temporarily unprovable (but is still very much upon to a probability rating to determine what is most likely) or dismissed as false. In that sense, athiesm is not a relgious allignment but more so a life stance that happens to encompbum religion. (view post) |
