Honestly CZ should be looking at domination changes that encourage more people to play rather than less. Antifreeze was capped because a small number of players could easily win all 4 medals every week. It was unfun for the vast majority of players. Capping antifreeze increases the potential number of medal winners.
Currently the pool of potential medal winners are people who are in singleton brackets (which should be fixed) or people who are in involved in domination klans. Honestly not counting alts that appears to be about 30 players. I have no problem in making it harder for those 30 in order to increase the pool of active players from 30 to 300 or even 3000. Domination re-work idea: Excellent Strategical Change or ****tiest Suggestion Ever?Honestly reducing the number of people that can be involved in ties would be a good thing as it would encourage a larger number of smaller klans that are actively competing for supremacy or it would encourage intra-klan backstabbing which is also quite enjoyable.
Currently there is too much potential risk (being kicked out of your domination klan) to overwhelm the potential benefits of stabbing your teammates in the back for a few extra medals. Unless you change the number of people who can be involved in ties you will continue to see behavior where one klan will share medals rather than engage in cutthroat play. (view post) |

Well bear in mind each of the endgames should be designed to keep people actively playing the game until episode 2 is ready. Granted it’s anecdotal evidence but it seems that many people are actively choosing not to compete in domination as they feel it’s currently hopelessly broken. I don’t know how many of those players are competing in other endgames like incit, or forumbuildr but if people don’t feel like the game offers them the gaming experience they desire then they typically will move onto other games.
A certain amount of player turnover is to be expected but I think it’s important for both experienced players and newbies to feel like they can compete in the game and not be totally outclbumed. (view post) |

This would require ET to code it where vanilla only got rewarded at the end of each raid. Otherwise alts that are being reserved to pwn forums late on in the raid see no benefit.
For instance I just did a 8-alt vanilla raid earlier on today. Obviously it’s most efficient for me to no have to switch characters back and forth in order to make each of them get the maximum vanilla. Rather I typically pwn forums with a small number of them until I get all 12 forums and then I begin doing the 11-12-11-12 cycle. Each of them were contributing visits but the ones at the end of the line wouldn’t earn as much vanilla under your system. (view post) |

Domination re-work idea: Excellent Strategical Change or ****tiest Suggestion Ever?I’m not sure of the feasibility of some of these suggestion at least not without significant modification to the existing domination code.
I think ultimately what people are complaining about is the overwhelming power that klan vanilla has in regards to domination combined with the inclusion of a large number of domination based e-peens and I suspect that domination is going to result in a net exodus of people from the game rather than an influx.
Rather than come up with some arcane ruleset I think the best thing to do would be to create a static limit to the number of vanilla scoops you can earn in a given week. That way there is still an incentive to take part in klan raids (they are far more efficient that solo vanilla raids) but klan vanilla doesn’t completely overwhelm the scoops earned in other aspects of the game.
I would encourage the maximum number of vanilla scoops to be set at a threshhold of 40 or 80 (80 if they increase the amount of antifreeze you can gain in a day to 10). That’s enough for 10-20 cards which is plenty to give you a significant edge on wednesday without making it discouraging for new people to get involved in the endgame.

bumHOLE IS OVERPOWEREDHonestly it all comes down to whether you want large klans to dominate domination. Yes the various scoops that you can get via antifreeze, chocolate, yellow and pistachio are critical to determining who actually wins in a bracket the game currently is a function of who can get the most players/alts in on a raid simultaneously.
Without a hardcap on vanilla, vanilla raiders will always dominate domination. For instance let’s bumume a really really good solo player who is going to focus on domination this week. They have a maximum of 40 visits bumuming that they’ve banked 12 visits waiting for this domination week to end.
In that week in theory they could earn the following
Antifreeze-40 Chocolate- In theory virtually unlimited but in reality 40 scoops would be about the maximum Yellow- 120 Pistachio- 60 Vanilla- 82
For a total of roughly 300 scoops or 75 cards. In reality this is never going to happen due to the unlikeness of maxing out your solo vanilla and getting anywhere near enough 3 scoop speedrun times.
In contrast a klan vanilla raids using 10 characters is going can net roughly 80-100 vanilla scoops per raid. Two klan raids a week using 10 characters will net roughly 160-200 vanilla or 50 cards. Right there the klan raids have basically negated any sort of strength wonderplayer has in regards to domination. The numbers get even more ridiculous if you bumume larger raids.
When you consider that the solo player is going to have to compete against multiple people benefiting from klan vanilla it’s surprising that a solo player can ever medal in the upper brackets.
Honestly if you want a game based on klan vs klan then there are better designs that can be implemented. If you want a strict accounting of who is the best player in the game then you need to limit the overwhelming impact of vanilla on the game.
Maybe weakening bumholes and increasing the costs of shield would do that but honestly I think it would simply shift the balance of power even more firmly into the hands of raiding klans. I’m not saying that’s necessarily a bad thing but that if you are wanting to grow the userbase as quickly as possible a game that is dominated by older established players is not conducive to getting new players interested. bumHOLE IS OVERPOWEREDIncrease the cost for cards from 4 to 8. That would make trading in your scoops for cards more a losing proposition thus encouraging people to hoard scoops in the open and try to protect them as much as they can using shields throughout the week.
Another idea would be to make it where you need to trade in cards in specific combinations in order to get specific cards. To increase the combination let’s increase the costs of cards to 5 scoops per card.
You could make the relatively weak cards like destroyer, peeping tom, even thief require 5 cards of one color. The more powerful cards like modests and shields might require specific combinations of cards. Really powerful cards like bumholes might require 1 of each color forcing people wanting them to compete in all aspects of the game not just raiding.
That way you can still reward raiders but by limiting the options for purchasing cards via vanilla you reduce the desire to turtle up with modests and shields. (view post) |

Ideas on clbum balanceKeep in mind some of the vaunted superiority of the trolls relies on an extremely high cost item that has horrendous upkeep requirements. bumuming that renting and streaking will get fixed on or around the time that episode 2 comes out it’s not necessarily reasonable to expect that the current ability of 2 trolls (Pluvius and Ruiner of Fun) to dominate the leaderboard will be extended into episode 2.
Rather I expect all of the clbumes will have similar items and potentially the ability to earn enough flezz to consistently use them.
Honestly Camwhores are still the strongest clbum in the game with the ability to get pretty high offense and defense stats while maintaining a ridiculous charisma and luck stat ensuring crazy flezz returns. It’s not that difficult for a camwhore to average 3 marys on 4 praypal20s currently. Even with relatively high upkeep costs camwhores have no difficulty raking in the . Combined with the low consumable usage on forums it’s not surprising that camwhores dominate the leaderboard.
Emos are strong but if we bumume that defense is more important in episode 2 (due to high hit percentages and vicious damage totals) then one of their core abilities, the ability to hit hard when their ego is really low is severely compromised. Honestly Life After Death is pretty much worthless as a skill as it’s refresh time makes it of limited use on virtually all the forums.
Re-Res need some significant boosts if they are going to be able to finish episode 2. They can’t earn a large amount of money thus limiting their ability to grind the difficult forums. I’m not saying that it should be easy to finish level 20 on a re-re but currently 1 Re-re has beaten Second Wife and no re-re has a chance on GFoC. Even if there are ridiculous ego boosters and consumables in episode 2 they need significant increases in their flezz making potential.
What I think everyone needs is a way to get their luck totals pretty close to what camwhores can achieve. An equipment choice like Really Lucky 8-ball (haha drug reference Log in to see images!) would be a good item for a troll. That would allow trolls and emos and maybe even re-res the ability to get almost as much deliveries as the camwhores. I’d retain a charisma advantage for camwhores to represent their inherent appeal and to compensate for their high upkeep costs.
I would like all the clbumes to have abilities that enable them to weaken the attack ability of forums. Maybe a damage 8 attack that reduces the forums attack percentage for 4-5 turns. That way you can keep the ego totals on characters relatively low but people need to weaken the forum before using killing moves. (view post) |
