D&D Rogue BuildGuess what?! My rogue DIED! DX However, I’ve rolled up a sorceress so we have a blaster. However, another member of our party may not be coming anymore due to his jackbumery and not willing to pay for gas money, so I may also be running yet ANOTHER rogue.
This time around, he’s a halfling, and he’s got a level 3 bag of holding. Log in to see images! (view post) |

D&D Rogue BuildThanks for a serious post, Sarge. I was already thinking that way to begin with, but that extra +1d6 sneak attack, poison use and spells could be pretty useful… however, it’s likely this game won’t go for too long, so what the hell.
Btw, thanks for banning the douche, I hate it when people don’t mind their own friggin’ business. (view post) |

D&D Rogue BuildHey, guys! I have a Lvl. 4 Elven Rogue in my weekly D&D game, and I can’t decide what I should do. Should I go pure rogue for the skills, multi in bumbumin for poison and spells, or multi in fighter for the bonus feats I could use? (leaning toward fighter)
If it helps, my stats are as follows: 15 STR, 21 DEX, 14 CON, 18 INT, 15 WIS, and 16 CHA. I’m an elf, and I took the feats Combat Expertise and Improved Feint; I’m a melee build. I’ve got a rapier and a +2 Longsword I managed to nab from a store, and a pair of Slippers of Spiderclimbing my DM ruled that once they activate, they stay on for 10 minutes then shut off *grumble*. I’ve maxed oout (7 ranks in) the basic thief skills: Bluff, Disable Device, Disguise, Hide, Jump, Listen, Move Silently, Open Lock, Search, Sleight of Hand, Spot, and Use Rope. (kinky)
It’s obviously a 3.5 game, but our DM is ruling nothing from any books other than Player’s Handbook, DMG, or MM. D: Any help would be appreciated, I don’t want to suck.
P.S. I really, REALLY suck at rolling. D: Also, I’m secretly Lawful Evil. (view post) |

Finding HeadsetsI’m having a hard time finding a particular special item called the Wireless Headset. Is it a strictly episode 2 item, or just really hard to find, or is someone hoarding them or something? I’d really like to find one, but I can’t seem to… any suggestions? (view post) |

D&D Adventure IdeasMurrayfan: I see what you’re saying, and I’d end up doing that…. creating all those NPCs is the most daunting task for me, however. Do you have any tips for quick NPC creation? The tables in the DM’s Guide aren’t exactly clear when it comes to ‘custom’ NPCs. (view post) |

Character Optimization?Exactly. I’ve got slippers of spider-climbing and a plus 14 Sleight of Hand… nab somebody’s stuff, run up to the roof, disguise myself, and strike up a conversation with them afterwards. Log in to see images! (view post) |

Character Optimization?Sorcerers are nice for their ease of use, but when you get to higher levels, they’re totally nerfed by wizards. They’re still fun, though! Log in to see images! (view post) |

Character Optimization? You know what the funny **** is? I got cursed in tonight’s session so that I stun everyone around me when I speak, so my spellcasting ability is null and void, because we can’t find anyone of high enough level to cast remove curse. So, I nerfed him, and rolled up a TOTAL WIN ROGUE instead.
He’s got insane Use Rope Sleight of Hand and Hide skill, AND slippers of spiderclimbing. :3 So, I nab a lady’s goodies, run up a wall and onto a high roof, disguise myself, come back down, and bet the money against the person that I can’t find their money. Run off, come back, give them the purse, get it all, and a couple extra from them in the process. Log in to see images!
Oh, also going with Improved Feint with a +8 Bluff so I add my Sneak Attack every time I attack: +6 to-hit for 3d6+3 damage every round, as long as my Bluff succeeds. Log in to see images! (view post) |

Character Optimization?I’m running a wizard right now in a D&D game, and I didn’t know if I should multiclbum or not. Btw, 3.5 edition, only core books.
I had the idea of getting to 7th level as a wizard, adding 3 levels of Cleric, and then getting 10 in Mystic Theurge so I’m effectively a 17th level wizard, and 13th level cleric. Sounds good? Any suggestions would be appreciated. (view post) |

Zombie Survival RPGs?As far as I can tell, most of or all zombie-themed games on the ‘net are strictly shooters or text-based. Are there any sort of zombie survival RPGs where you upgrade your character and such, but along a storyline? I just think one of those would be totally rad., instead of just mindless gore and such. (Of course, mindless violence is still awesome, but a story sounds nice once in a while.)
Thanx! (view post) |

D&D Adventure IdeasHey, all! I finally have a basic structure for the adventure made, and thought I would share the fruits of my labor with you. I know most don’t have the concentration necessary to read something this long, but you may or may not get a kick out of it.
Characters start in town, hear that the lady of the manor needs help. They talk to her, and she hires them to find her husband, dead or alive. They go find him in a cave filled with orcs, where their chief, if questioned, tells them that they captured him as tribute to the Ogre chieftain that threatens to ransack them. Another opportunity for information arises when bandits ambush them on the way back; one of them is carrying a message to kill them, written by someone by the name of Grak, in Water’s Edge.
If the lord is brought back to the manor, the lady rewards them, but the lord has something else on his mind. He takes them aside and says he went into the woods to meet his mistress and run away with her, but was captured by a scouting party from the orcs. Now, he offers to pay them a hefty sum to make his mistress disappear. Another avenue is that the characters go to find the ogre chieftain. In order to find the ogre’s lair, they can either Gather Information from travelers in the town, or they can pay the local sage to spend a few days researching it. When and if they find the ogre’s lair, whether they manage to kill him or not, a mysterious stranger appears outside the cave and reveals that he’s been watching them since they got back to town with the lord, and offers them an opportunity: to come with him to the main city of Renthar, and gain employment from the Adventurer’s Guild.
If they accept and kill the lord’s mistress, a witness comes forward the next day and alerts the guard, throwing them in jail. However, if they decide to tell the lady, she has one of two reactions. If they don’t have evidence, she has them thrown in jail for implicating her husband. If they have evidence, she enters a fit of rage, kills her husband, and then herself in the realization of her mistake. In the commotion, guards come in to find the characters standing over the dead lord and lady, and throw them in jail to be hung the next day.
Whether they succeed or fail to produce evidence of the lord’s unfaithfulness, the characters are visited by a stranger in the night at the jail who offers them an opportunity, due to seeing their work clearing out the orcs and the ogre chieftain: he will spring them free if the characters wish to come with him, and work for the Adventurer’s Guild in the main city of Renthar.
Constructive criticism is appreciated! I know it is somewhat cliche, but at least its not just straight-up hack n’ slash, because my characters have asked for SOMEthing that leads into RPing. (view post) |

D&D Adventure IdeasGood! Custom treasure s nice, but I tend to overdo it. Maybe in a few more levels when I grasp it more easily. Eventually, I want to throw a Rod of Wonder in there. XD
I might be on later tonight, but I gotta run to work, now. Post for me! Thank you for your help! (view post) |
