also, to call attention to the fact that my band still needs a new bbumist, though that doesn’t matter because finals are almost over and we’re going to have to break up anyways, so when i go home i’ll just have to start a new thread asking if people in my area are interested in joining a band that is trying to fuse the relevance and beauty of the Decembrists with My Chemical Romance. no one will reply, and i will just prove to myself that my life is as pointless as everyone tells me it is.

Your problem is that you’re modeling your band (at least in part) on MCR. You need to follow in the footsteps of a much gayer band. Although, come to think of it, you’re going to have trouble coming up with a band gayer than MCR.

Though the 50,000 people on State Street in Madison for halloween do make for a hell of halloween party.

There were some great Halloween Street parties when I lived in SF. I’m back in L.A. now, and while West Hollywood has a big one, it’s a bit of a drive from where I live. And I hate driving on holidays, especially at night. Too many amateur drunk drivers.

Are you an art student or just a huge nerd? (Or both, of course.) I ask this because last Halloween I went to a party at Art Center in Pasadena and saw some really awesome costumes. I didn’t know anyone at the party, but I went with Iggy Pup who is an awesome goodwill ambbumador, plus the food was great. But really the best part was seeing the costumes. The students go all out, probably because the opinions of their peers are at least as important as that of their instructors. I highly recommend crashing art school parties at Halloween.
