I submitted a name and it got pretty immediately down-voted, didn’t get to earn any scoops or anything, and then I see a VERY similar name submitted today and it’s already at 15. Haha, lame. I could see it having it’s problems, as really crappy suggestions would just stay at zero or, if they got voted up, they’d stay up. The upside would be that nobody could just shoot people’s ideas down for no reason. Obviously people who vote at random would still screw a system without down-voting.

Klan forumbuildrI didn’t like this idea at all until about halfway through your post. It’d be nice to have more gameplay, but the idea of klans making their own forums seems ridiculously complicated. It started to sound really awesome to me, though, when you brought up competition between klans; defending and attacking other klans’ forums. That would be a lot of fun. I think if that did happen, it’d be nice to have a new color scoop for those rewards. (view post) |

Submitting enemy names is useless now?I’d have thought the fact that submissions are anonymous during voting would rule out any klan rallying, but I guess I could see how it would happen anyway. (Unless I’m just very special and they aren’t anonymous somehow.)
It seems like it’s hard to get votes on enemies, because you’ve got to figure it’s the category with the least to read, which to me means there’s probably more people voting on enemies than on anything else (excluding, probably, logos and styles because there’s never a ton of submissions there.) It kind of seems hopeless unless you’ve got an idea that’s so ridiculous or relateable that everyone’s going to find it great. (view post) |

-1I kind of hate that I try to tailor submissions to be realistic and funny for the forum, and then I see enemies (etc) that have nothing to do with anything getting voted up. C’est la vie; when you’ve got this many people voting, they’re not all going to get subtle humor or even recognize when something’s pertaining to the forum. Hell, maybe even some of the voters don’t even read the forum description.
