SpendFriend: Flezz Transfers* and gotten all the top tier equipment.
Kyoubai largely expanded it for a good while giving folks who haven’t gotten best equip a chance to buy it. Sadly, Kyoubai drains flezz from the economy only on failed auctions, not on success (Which is the average case).
The high tier forums apparently also tend to be flezz sinks for non-high ego speced non-trolls. Or at least I’m told they are.
Anyhow, for anyone with all the best stuff in the game, flezz is worthless again… but it always becomes such when everything available to buy is weaker and you only buy equipment or consumables. There’s no reoccuring excuse to spend flezz in gamelike fashion so once you reach that top point (Which I think is about 10-15 million flezz if you buy everything and grind no items… so about 10-13 weeks of play), flezz becomes worthless.
Except to hold onto for the next huge flezz sink anyway. (view post) |

No really? Since the moment the auction house started, there hasn’t been a moment with less than 3 pages of open ripro auctions. Watching the price drop from 1.1 million to semi-stable around 700k, to now they’re going for 300k.
I bet it hits 150k or so.

Fix implies broken. Certainly new computers would be nice, but adding more complications to the mechanics ‘just because’? Certainly computers could use a boost to be a useful inventory slot, but suddenly going from ‘totally obsolete’ to ‘far more valuable than other existing slots’ doesn’t seem to make much sense.
Also the optional parts thing is part of Hacker mythology in forumwarz. stripping that down to everyone would reduce hackers as an interesting option. (view post) |

Board of Directors CheatedThere are thousands of items in this game. Hundreds that aren’t for sale with any frequency due to low worth. Even that system combined wouldn’t make a big difference. In fact, all it would do would be to obscure folks doing it so people wouldn’t be able to even try to interrupt it.
“What’s not on the market at all right now? +2 frugality moar file? Okay, folks grind it for a bit and lets go toss up 10 of them. They’ll show up between 1 and 3 hours from now. Bid on them.”

Actually, the auction house seems to be reflecting an interesting thing right now. Near zero demand for anything that isn’t a top item or a joke item. The joke items are artificial demand created by the system. Folks can toss that stuff into the auction house, but aside from those doing it to launder or as part of a shared joke, they aren’t managing to really sell them. In effect, long term, the fact that putting these items on will produce a loss for the auctioner will see them not show up.
I went through on an alt and tossed bids out on some twenty items this morning which were going for less than they sell for in the Ppwn shop. I mean, why not. (view post) |

Board of Directors CheatedHow would anonymity have helped at all with a very clearly defined scheme like this? It’s easy to isolate a set of items that no one else is selling and use them to launder money right now. Yes, if it was anonymous, a clever individual might spot it and interrupt, stealing some of the flezz for themselves, but for the most part, an organized group could easily manage the same feat even without being able to see who is putting what auction up.
“Guys, okay we’re going to put 10 happydexes up starting at 10 pm EST through 10:05 est on 12 hour auctions.”
