Where is the forum?Kittysan Posted:
I dunno, I would have taken a kind of a twisted pride in being the first person to make come up with the forum so bad that Crotch Zombie had to pull it. It would go hilariously well with my previous ForumBuildr track record.
But I would be upset if I was one of the other contributors; I got my peen right away, but if the forum wasn’t posted, they might not have gotten theirs. (view post) |

Girl Gamers.I’m horrible at FPS, but I blame that more on a lifetime of wrist injuries than gender.
And where’s the other side of the coin here? I’ve seen lots of “girls don’t take gaming seriously”, but I personally know plenty of guys who don’t take it seriously either. Actually, I think I know more casual guy gamers than hardcore ones.
And come to think of it, what is the definition of “serious gaming”? Just considering FPS “gaming” is a pretty narrow definition considering all the genres out there.
At any rate, I think we need to rebumign the issues of gaming from “male vs. female” to “reasonable vs. stupid”. (view post) |

Oh yeah, same where I went to college. Worse, I’d imagine, since I went to school in the rural south. Heck, I know adults now who try and use that kind of logic to “convert” people. I once had someone try to convert me because I was not the “right kind of Christian”. Because, you know, I’m one of those crazy “Christians” that think people should find the beliefs that fit them the best, not the ones I think that fit them the best.
I think the argument effectively ended when I reminded them Jesus was Jewish. (view post) |

****ty ideas of the weekYou’ll be happy, then…Web 1.0 won. I think I’m going to have fun with this one. I went to do some research courtesy of the Wayback Machine and forgot how horrifically ****ty the internet was back then. Even professionally designed websites for major corporations look like someone knew maybe three html tags, threw something together to get paid, and that was it.
I am somewhat bemused by the fact that I keep submitting forum ideas, and even with the low numbers ForumBuildr is getting, I still can’t get one of mine to win. I am forever destined to be lacking that one e-peen that will complete my precious peen collection. Ah well…c’est la peen.
At least thinking of ideas helps keep me awake at my godawful job. (view post) |

Play a game backwardsand describe itIn Final Fantasy VIII, you restore a sorceress to power, break up with your girlfriend, suck a bunch of creatures up into the moon, forget you were an orphan, make a traveling school stop moving, build another school, flee another sorceress, and get demoted.
And your father, who was president, falls and becomes leader of a resistance, then the defender of a little town, and finally a soldier before you stop remembering who he was. (view post) |

book nerds unite...26 for me. If there were more children’s books, my score would be much higher, since I used to teach elementary school and had to know most of the clbumics so I could teach them.
That was a pretty random list, though. It looks like they mixed the occasional best seller or children’s clbumic in with the standard clbumic list. Which makes me wonder…would “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” count? (view post) |

bumigned movies... how to make them easier? Is this for a clbum? Sounds like it, so…
1. Get extra sleep. 2. Take copious notes on why the movies suck. Be sure to throw in lots of fancy film terminology like mise en scène and cinéma vérité to impress your professor. 3. Write down changes you would have made to the film. (Note: If you are Michael Bay, just write “KA-BOOM!” ) 4. Look up fun trivia facts on IMDB and Wikipedia and shout them out loud during important parts of the film for everyone to enjoy. 5. Bring large amounts of noisy snacks. Dig in when things get quiet. 6. Make fun of the movie. 7. Build two robot companions to help you make fun of the movie. 8. Actually watch the movies. You might actually like them more than you think.
I had quite a few films I thought I wouldn’t be interested in for a film clbum I took in college, and I actually liked more of them than I thought I would. Luckily, I had a professor who was very good about letting us get our opinions in, so if we didn’t like something, we could at least tell him so. If you have a douchebag who thinks his word is final, I’m very sorry. Wear Twilight shirts and talk about how Robert Pattinson should be used to digitally replace Jimmy Stewart in all his films for the rest of the semester to keep him off-balance. (view post) |

Favorite Video-Game WeaponsShiskabob from Fallout 3. Flaming sword of death? Yes plz!
It also takes an ordinary grenade and with reverse pickpocketing turns it into an item of hilarity. Anyone else got “Pants Exploded” in the double-digits?
I’m also rather fond of Joachim and Frank from the Shadow Hearts series’ habit of picking up random large objects from the environment and using them to smack people around. Especially Frank’s insistence on attaching sword handles to everything he finds. (view post) |
