	A very SERIOUS discussion about Antifreeze Scoops. Seriously. I agree with Summer. Using Gamblebot to get scoops gets ridiculous. Summer and I tied this round, saving us both quite a bit of time, but it is definitely ridiculous. We both got over a thousand scoops total, and it could have very easily been twice that. What about some sort of healing move for trolls? Something like “nurse ego” that would allow trolls to regain points without resorting to consumables? Maybe make your defense bonus applicable only to this, so it’s a unique troll advantage. What about adding a second rank of fap that restores a large amount of (say, 100) ego at the cost of, say, 10 douchebaggery (same 9-turn and 3-offense)? Repair costs are irrelevant until the various tricks are fixed/changed, but I don’t know that they have an advantage there either. So they’re slower to pwn and get less of a reward when they finally do so. Also, since their high defense makes combat more erratic, they’re harder to predict proper consumable levels for, so less-experienced players are more likely to die. Where’s the benefit that makes them worth it? Also if you could look at the suggestion I posted, I really do want somebody’s opinions on it. In my experience, the much higher repair costs for a camwhore result in earning approximately the same net flezz as a troll. I suppose you could say that repair costs are irrelevant, although I think that insisting that trolls are underpowered due to a bug has no bearing on the fundamental balance between the clbumes. 	Buff trolls! Sancdar: First of all, about rounding error, you’re also not factoring in that emo damage is increased by life missing so you see a lower % increase bumuming you aren’t at full health. This decrease compensates for the rounding error at lower damage. Furthermore, since camwhores get +4 offense from pump-me-up versus a troll’s +3 from fap, camwhores get a lower % increase than a troll; enough to compensate for the rounding error. Sancdar Posted: Your argument fails to prove anything. No matter how close in seconds the troll gets to the emo/camwhore, the % advantage they have stays the same, so any speedrun scoop times balanced for faster clbumes allow sub-optimal builds on those clbumes to scoop at the same frequency as optimal builds for trolls. Additionally, to advance on the leaderboards an inherently slow clbum would always be at a disadvantage until such point as the % advantage of the faster clbumes led to less than 1 second difference in times. Emo’s have a % damage on top of offence and Camwhores have stronger attacks. Offense does less for trolls because our base damage is lower. And I pwn Memebusters just fine, But it takes 3x as long as my Camwhore. Yes, that’s how percentages work. You might also notice that on a forum that takes 200 seconds to beat, then with +20% damage it’ll only take you 167 seconds, or 23 less seconds. If it takes you 400 seconds, then with +20% damage it’ll only take you 334, or 46 less seconds. Clearly offense is overpowered for trolls. (view post)	04/22/2008
