Admin and moderators are the only exceptions to the hellban; if ANYONE sees another post you make, you are being pranked. You may also want to look at the forums the comments on your hellban occur in to help determine if you're being pranked. If you're unsure if you've been hellbanned, contact MC Banhammer. He will tell you.

Now, for the true article

A hellban is when a poster's comments in IDC and posts in Flamebate are made invisible to the rest of the Forumwarz populace. Admins and moderators will be able to see your posts, however, and you will still be banned for bannable offenses.
