As someone who’s been on 4chan far too long, allow me to summarize it. The idea behind Robot9000 was first created by Randall Munroe (xkcd Author) and pbumed along to moot (4chan founder). The idea is that a bot disallows posts that are identical or near identical to those which have been posted before. This, in theory at least, cuts out most spam and forced memes. Unfortunately, Robot9000 has since become populated primarily by liberals and white knights. Still, it’s probably the best board to go to on 4chan if you want to have a serious discussion.
