Ok then… without looking it up, tell me what the **** do the following words mean to you:

– Socialist

– Fascist

I’m gonna try and be brief because I could write a ****ton on both of those but I’m really tired.

Socialism…well if I listened to my Sociology 101 prof it’s the transition stage between Capitalism and Communism and the main idea is that the means of production are shared and goods are produced directly for use as opposed to Capitalism where goods are produced for profit. An example in the good ‘ol USA is the Tennessee Valley Authority, whose goal is to provide electricity to and develop rural Appalachia, as opposed to Duke Energy, whose goal is to make money from providing electricity. I hope I’m close.

Fascism is basically jingoistic socialism. The idea is to have the entire country united under the common goal of making the entire country as strong as possible (because of course, your country is the greatest ever). To do this the government controls basically everything including means of production. I’ve heard people call Obama a “fascist” and I have no clue why they would do that because even though it’s clear he wants to move towards a planned economy like socialism, as far as I know he’s not planning on building mbumive weapons stockpiles in order to invade Canada and Mexico to show off America’s balls and if anything he wants to shrink America’s balls down a little bit.

I hope those are semi-satisfactory because it’s 2 am and i know I’m gonna lose this debate anyway so I don’t give a ****.
