Shen Mue 1 blew my mind. I played the Japanese original on my imported Dreamcast and it was an unforgettable experience. Compared to contemporary sandbox games, you hardly had the freedom to actually move around the city, but for the time, it felt like something completely new. A shame that they ruined the Xbox port. Still hoping for a Shen Mue 3, don’t care about an online version though.

If Sega had better timing with the Release, they’d actually would have made a profit out of the game. Due to Sega’s horrible Management, Shenmue almost killed Sega (it was the most expensive game ever made at the time)

I’ve just revisited and replayed Shenmue I and II, and I must say it still completely blows my mind, even after 10 years have pbumed.

A recent press release from Sega talking about Shemnue 3 turned me into an obsessive Shenmue Fanboy again.

What was so different about the Dreamcast and XBox version of Shemnue II ? I’ve played both and can’t really tell a difference between them, maybe it has been too long since i’ve played the XBox version.
