Seriously. What about religious beliefs mean we have to ‘respect’ them, even when they’re ridiculous? Every other kind of belief is open to criticism, what puts faith on a special pedestal?
The only thing making them vaguely respectable is that lots of people all believe the same thing, but that’s because of the organised religions promulgating those beliefs, not a result of millions of people all independently coming to the same conclusion. |
